In the interest of making autocrossing a more popular sport among NJ RX-8 enthusiasts, below is the remainder of autox events for this year. The ones at Englishtown & Atco are held by regional SCCA clubs, which tend to be fewer runs and closer geographically to central & south NJers. bxb40 and I will be making the ones at Meadowlands and PNC to become "track junkie" after our hard-earned lessons at Evo Autox School.

Ladies and gents, this week is probably your best chance to do well in autox since most experienced and talented drivers are attending SCCA National in Topeka, KS. So if you are intimidated by the propsect of being schooled too badly, this weekend won't be it =)

bxb40 and I sincerely want to see more of you coming out of woods to have the most fun you will ever have *legally* & *safely* driving RX-8.

 

The season is winding down as we inch closer to the winter. bxb40 and I continue braving in the cold to seek our glory and fame at the autox. It is a scary thought that our first full autox season is almost behind us, therefore, no longer novices. For those of you who worry about potential issues with warranty when autoxing RX-8, you can take following steps if you wish to be cautious:

1)Put tape on your license plates
2)Remove them completely
3)Cover up the VIN on the dashboard

You bought those mods for being faster not just for show, right?! It's lonely out there. RX-8 comrades, can you hear me now?

 

Umm... How is ZoomZoom live and the NNJR auto-x happening on the same days (Nov 6) at the same location?

If that's the case... I could go to Zoom Zoom and then to the auto-x the next day.

Hahaa, I found it puzzling myself. I was originally signed up for 11/6, then changed to 11/5 (cuz wanting to meet you, the great one), and now seeing NNJR having autox on 11/5 (Saturday). My thought is that both autox and ZoomZoomLive will be happening at the same time on different lots.

 

OK, I changed my ZZL for 11/6 (again!) so I can go and admire some first class autox on the 5th

 

Well, it has been a rather disappointing season to come across just three other RX-8s out on autocross in NJ, other than bxb40 and me. As it so happens, bxb40 will be absent from the action this coming Saturday. Is there any brave soul out there who is willing to come out and play with the big dogs? Otherwise, there are just one 350Z and me in the BS then. A two-way contest is not exactly fun/competitive in my book. PM me or post here if you like more information to clear out any doubt/fear.

 

Damn! They canceled the last one? I wanted to go check it out. CRX, I'll definately be around for some stuff next year. Let me know when you're going.
