Yea, e-mail him the rating of your helmet, and he'll let you know if it's OK.

Here is his e-mail.

2004 Brilliant Black GT - bone stock, unfortunately
Franklin, WI (south suburb of Milwaukee)

I work down in Franklin, if you see a Copper Red around lunch time, that would be me.

Anyone else planning on heading down on the 23rd? Can we just pay the $10 at the door to get in if we aren't running on the track?

From what I can tell we have at least 4 8's going. Yes, you can pay and just watch or go for ride alongs.

Cool, I'll have to keep my eyes open...although I'm not normally around Franklin during lunch, as I work down in Burlington.

Hey guys and gals,

I just moved into the Appleton area a couple of weeks ago and my wife and I own a 2004 Titanium Gray GT RX-8. We've got the appearance package and haven't had it out for a lot this summer yet. But I think I've seen the black one out and about on College Ave. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance!

Mathoepner, welcome to Appleton. There're a few in the area. I've seen 2 reds, 2 blacks, couple greys and couple silvers. There'll be an autox on July 1st at the baseball stadium north of the mall. Feel free to come by and check it out. I'll be there bright and early

Lurked here for about 2 years & I'm giving in to the urge soon - even got a better job so I can pay off the car loan sometime this century.

I've seen a nice TiGrey at the Best Buy behind the east side mall, and a younger woman driving a (very very dirty) Winning Blue on the beltline near Stoughton Rd.

Still looking - I'd prefer a 05 Ti-Grey. I'm stopping by Don Miller for a test drive and only a test drive - their single used 8 is a 05 Brilliant Black MT GT w/14k miles with a window price of $27k. Not a fan of that price or the GT trim (specifically leather & moon-roof). A prefunctory search of ebay, autotrader, etc., has shown me that there are private party 05's out there under 20k, so that's the direction I'm headed.

Yea, 27K for a used 05 is crazy. For that price you can get a brandnew base model.

27k for used is way too much. You should be able to get around 20k.

Base model is hard to find used. I looked left and right and couldn't find one.

Depends on when and where you were at on 94.

I said hi to a Silver one with licence plate "BALANA" when heading to Milwaukee in my blue Mustang. Anyone here or knows who it was?

Just to let everyone now that car started at $26995.00 and a sale price of 21900.00 and at that price there was also a new set of 18" snow tires as well . By the way I'm one of the sales mgr's at Don Miller .

There was a Red with rotary accents and sunroof at Madison-West American TV/Appliance today (I work there).

Damn you for parking right in front of the parking lot when I was trapped at the front door greeting!

In other news the only RX-8 in the Madison area car lots is a 07 GT auto at Don Miller- I tried to find one to test drive today. No thanks Don Miller.

You know what! The car (6-speed winning blue) I just bought from a private owner named Frank in Stougton with the snow tires also came from that dealership. I originally did not want the snow tires and it turned out that the extended warranty that he had advertised was not transferrable so he gave me the tires with the sale. Poor guy paid for that warranty and got nothing out of it. Wonder if the dealership had mentioned the restriction to him. You guys get RX8s in quite a bit?
