What are you guys doing to your eights-two days and two rx8s on tow trucks one red going to bommarito in st.peters automatic base the other silver (looked like it had clear corners) in O'fallon MO probably going to bommarito as well. Hopefully this trend does not continue......

It's this crap weather we're having. OK, maybe not but it still sucks. I've been going through withdrawal big time with the 8 in the garage. I decided sat evening to get it out. I thought that there was not really any ice on the road and it was too cold for any melty yucky stuff to be on the road. I went over to IL for a couple of hours and what did I see when I left to come back home...snow. I am usually so careful about checking the weather and making sure my baby isn't out in it. I was not happy at all coming home. The roads were really slick, even though it wasn't much snow. I was terrified that somone was going to run into me. You know, most people around here really can't drive...especially in rain or snow. Well hopfully the two 8s were just getting a ride in to get the oil changed. You know, wouldn't want to actually drive them on the road with all the salt and stuff...he.he.he.

I thought mine was going to be on a towtruck yesterday too! I went out to start it last night (it had been parked out in the driveway and not in the garage), and my battery was dead. It turned over very slowly and finally went to the lovely clicking noise that happens when you know you're screwed. It had turned over quite a few times without firing, so I assumed it was flooded. I stuck my jumper pack on it.....cranked and cranked...and cranked some more.....pushing my accelerator to the floor, and it finally fired up on one rotor. It ran on one rotor for about 30 seconds or so, smoking like a bitch and shaking violently. It finally smoothed out, but I could smell some major raw gas fumes. It then smoothed out. I couldn't believe I got it running after hearing all of the flooding horror stories.

OEM batteries in these cars are totally lame.

I've never been so thankful that I insulated my garage while they were building it. Thanks to the 8's thermometer I can see the real benefits during this cold-**** weather. A nice cozy 45 degrees in the garage, a frigid nut-shriveling 6 degrees when pulled out this morning. Brrr...

Glad it wasn't my Red 'un in O'Fallon... yet. (knocking on wood)

No problems here since I put on my dedicated snow tires. Have seen other cars on the side of the road though. Then of course you have the SUV's that think they can drive like *** on the ice. Like someone else said, I'm more worried about the other drivers.

Hey 91vert, is that your actual plate? I have been waiting for like 2 months for mine to come in. Should be 0 pstns or wkl pwr. You guys (and gals) will know it's me when I get 'em.
