I put some rubbing alcohol in my taillights to get rid of some water marks in them today, and they decided to explode and crack all the way down the side. Great. I guess I am in the market for new taillights.

I think there is a guy selling blacked out ones in the FS sections right now. Not sure if they are there still though.

He wants 150 for the pair, and the smoked ones would go nice with the car. I found a pair on ebay for 200 also, non smoked.

My rims had the first crack in the plasti-dip today too. It was a bad day for the 8.

Apparently its a bad time for 8s in general. Right when I got to school today I noticed a hole in my sidewall on one of my tires, not even more than 1500 miles on them maybe 2k at most. But its just stupid ****. Now gotta pay 200 for a new one.

Wat? Someone shiv your tire?

I recently saw cord on one of mine, and just got a new set of Star Specs mounted last night; I'd be quite pissed if this happened to me.

It wasnt anyone that did it. I got in my car this morning it was all good, drove to class and once i got here heard air leaking. I knew it was the damn tire but then saw it was the sidewall which really sucked cause I knew it wasnt fixable.

So now looks like im waiting till monday to get a new one in. Exclaim UHPs also so its not like its a crappy tire. Although I couldnt get road hazard since they were stretched like they were and also discontinued. As long as the next ones last guess its not a big deal.

In other news though. Mike did you ever get your compression tester? We needa set up a day for that before its too cold out.

Haven't gotten it yet. I'll definitely let everyone know when I do get it, though.

I got my strakes on the car now, which look nice in Black. I will get some pics up when I replace the tail lights...

On another note, there were 6 8's in SLU's parking garage today..

I met one of them today, but there are 3 white 8's, and 2 black ones, and mine here. 2 R3's and the rest are series 1s.

All the R3's were stock, unfortunately. The only unstock thing I saw was a black stripe on the sides of one of the white ones. And One black one was a Shinka.

Sam, it's about time you showed up! I want to make a note and leave them on their cars.

Hey guys, my bad for not being on in a while.
Been recently having some braking issues. havent been keeping track of my brake pads so they have started scratching my rotor surface, which sucks so i figured i would just order new pads. after ordering the new brake pads though my cars abs light and traction light have started going off everytime i press the brake pedal. also my lights wouldn't get brighter when i used the brake. So after taking to a auto shop to have it checked out it turns out brake switch went bad(charging me 150 which i guess is reasonable).

Now i'm just waiting for brake switch and brake pads to come in to be replaced, and thinking i might replace the rotors too.
Any ideas on which brake rotors? i went with hawk for the brake pads.
Hope to get this all finished so we i can go to some meets soon.

Centric Premium rotors work just fine; one of the cheapest options out there and can be obtained from TireRack for about $60 per front, $40 per rear.

I *finally* got the rest of my shocks & springs installed tonight, yey! I strangely can't tell much of a difference between full soft / full firm ... anyone else running Konis? Does rotating to "+" mean firmer, or more rebound (thinking softer), or vice versa?

AutoX next Sunday, anyone? If we could get a good group out for it, we can do the Auto X and then cruise to some food or something.
