Nate, are u on the mo or il side? Wouldn't mind comparing exhaust. How much weight did u save overall with your exhaust mods?

Not really looking to buy anything just yet but I need to start thinking about it, especially once i find what my engines compression is looking like, i need to get new rear shocks cause im pretty sure that mine are both done for. But im wanting to just hold out through the winter somehow and buy coilovers next spring. But im sure there will probably be some for sale between now and then so if anyone rus across something that seems like a good deal let me know.

I defiently want coilovers unless my enignes compression is low but not low enough to get a reman. In that case ill just buy two shocks and wait for it to go.

 

man if you need stock shocks mine had 14k when i pulled them off i'd sell for $100

Thanks james, once I get my compression test done and see whats going on with the engine then I will work on getting the suspension in order and maybe buy those off you if I decide to go that route.

My next upgrade is going to be an intake. Aem / Ms, I know are the best in this class (true cai). Who has one and what's your opinion on what u have, and did you get a cel or any water in the intake. I def don't want water to be sucked up and into my engine. And cels are annoying. Thanks guys

 

First impression is that it sounds like a fart can exhaust hooked up to the front of your car. This subsides over time when you realize how good it sounds at high rev and WOT. There was no CEL on my installation. Use the pre-filter sock and start washing the car yourself if you haven't already. Even after going through a car wash or two and coming out with a slightly soggy filter, I had no issues. Do the install right and don't forget to cap the VFAD nozzle around the throttle-body and you shouldn't have problems.

 

AEM/MS intake does not throw a CEL...ordered my fogs today woo hoo!

you need red elsewhere on the car to do that adam like a pin stripe on the wheels or red calpers...

if you do red make sure you get them red anodized cause painting them would look bad. there is a company in houston who will anodize them for 30

Ill think about the anodizing thing but i just have some red paint laying around and it matches the red in the tailights pretty good so im just going to try it since im tired of the black.

If it looks badi can always just repaint them before i stick it to the car.
