I'm cancelling my order from SESI Mazda. It is a silver/black GT model that is slated to arrive in late June according to the dealer.

My deposit is totally refundable, so it's not like I have to sell the pre-order slot or anything. I just thought that I'd give people on the forum a heads up before the car goes up for grabs.

Oh, and you have to give me a ride in it.

 

Hey m477 - I ordered through SESI also. What was our exeprience like? Did they give you any problem refunding your deposit?

 

I haven't actually gotten my refund yet. I'm waiting for the car to come in first because I want to check it out firsthand before I get my money back. :D

Anyway, my salesperson there is Teri. Overall my experience with her has been very good, she was totally cool about letting me test drive any car I wanted to, and didn't try to pressure me or give me any crap when I mentioned that I might be backing out of my pre-order.

So who did you order from there, how were they, and what options did you get on your car? You know you can actually check the RX-8s they are getting online -

I actually don't have a salesperson that I know of. My old sales guy left under mysterious circumstances. The Sales manager (Dan) called me and let me know that he's reasisgning a new salesperson and they'd call me. To date no calls. Since the car isn't in, I'm not real concerned... YET. I'm tracking the car directly through Mazda and it's slated to arrive next week. Although I see that the dealership might know when the car arrives before the mazda computer system.

I got a distrubing E-mail from the internet sales guy saying that cars are rolling in and if I want one to contact him ASAP. Ummm.. What about the car I ALREADY ordered?

I ordered a Velocity red, manual, grand touring package. No options since no one asked me if I wanted any port installed options.

My big concern is they will try and mark the car up. I don't intend to pay .01 cent over MSRP. I have no problem with MSRP, but I'm not paying any more than that.

So as you can I see have several concerns with SESI. They were quick to take the deposit then nothing. We'll see what happens. I understand other dealers i the area have untaken cars, so I may look into my options.

Any other impressions of SESI. Did you eve talk price with your saleslady?

 

I was promised MSRP for the price, and I have it in writing.

I have been calling MazdaUSA once per week and asking what the order status is on the car. Right now they say it's the 4th week of July. I was hoping it would arrive this week since I'll be out of town next week. Ug.

 

I went into sesi and recieved invoice pricing. I accually ended up buying somewhere else but you guy's shouldn't be paying full price for the 8.
