The new RX-8 definitely looks better in person. I saw one today here in Farmington, MO (Slightly south of St. Louis) turn in front of me and unfortunately I couldn't follow it to find out who the owner is since I was between offices and still on the clock. Just went looking for it around where it turned (residential area) and didn't see it though it could be in a garage also It was still new enough that it had a dealer's logo card (no, not a Dealer's Plate) in the license plate area.

 

Was it blue?

black 8 going westbound on 70 at around 6:30pm, wednesday, august 7th. it had just crossed over the missouri river by the ameristar casino.

I keep seeing a black 8 with dealer plates driving around St Charles. It crossed my path the other day as I was sitting at the light at 40 and N. He was headed north as I was ready to turn south and have a fun little drive. I honked, but I don't think he heard me.

I assumed it was a Bommarito dealer taking it home (or just for a drive).

 

Sorry to bring an old thread back to life. Just wanted to say the RX-8 must be gaining in popularity down here or at least it is being used as a status symbol here.

So far I have seen a blue one, two silver ones (one of them with the license plate of JIT 51 which may be a doctor that works at my office on Tuesdays), a red one, and possibly a black one (?).

So far I have not had any close encounters with the two silvers other than the possible doctor since it is outside of my office every Tuesday for the last three weeks and I only saw the black one once leaving Wal-mart.

The red one's owner doesn't seem to know what she has per my conversation with her.

The blue one I've met up with at a four way twice now with me headed north and them headed east. The last time, I was at the line when they crossed in front of me and they never even glanced over at my 7. Leads me to believe they also do not know what they have or the heritage behind the car.
