Need help with a decision

I am interested in squeezing as much power out my 8 as possible. Recently a few products have it the market that can add a little more HP. I am talking about the Cobb Access Port, the EFIDude and the Harrison programmer. I have been trying to follow the many threads on theses products but with my limited knowledge on this topic I feel as though I’m reading French. I am looking for a product that will

1. Allow me to go back to stock settings if needed
2. Come with maps that I can use, or the ability to get maps from reputable people.

It seems to me that both the Cobb and EFIDude products can achieve this. The EFIDude is also almost half the price of Cobb. So the question is which one will be a better deal fro me?

I know I have read through the many pages of posts but most the stuff you guys are talking about sounds like French to me I am leaning towards the Access Port, it's just that the EFIDude is half the price but I do understand that the Access Port comes with many more features.

Don't know if it's still available, but here's a used cobb in the for sale section:

EFIDude can load a complete flash, but at this moment, you can't accually tune with it. You have to load a already complete flash. That is suppose to change in the future.
The AccessPort, as supplied from Cobb, comes with only 1 performance tune and it's a minor one (only Stage One). If you buy it from MazdaManiac it comes with several performance tunes, but you need to select the one to match your car. If you start with the most radical of the tunes, you risk damage to your engine. Follow his directions to the letter. Also with the AccessPort, you can go to a Cobb authorized tuner (P&L of Franklin Park, IL is a local Chicago one) and you can pay them to give you a custom tune, specific to your car.
In the near future, Cobb will have available for the AccessPort, a utility that will allow you to make your own custom tunes if you wish.
The AccessPort doesn't seem to have any dataloging capability, so it may be worth it to get the AccessPort and the EFI Dude DataLogger(only, not the extra reflash).

What does the datalogger do? I will be buying the access port from Naarleven and Mazdamaniac has agreed to support the new user.
