Shelter 7: Small, only street parking.


Shelter 6: Little bigger, about 20 off street parking spots


Shelter 5: Larger yet, again about 20-25 off street parking


Shelter 4: The biggest one w/ ginormous parking lot but not likely we'll have the whole thing to ourselves.


Shelter 12: Larger than shelter 5 with 30+ parking off the main drag


Let me know what you think, so we can get organized. I'll call Monday to see how necessary it is to rent, or if the shelter we want is reserved for that day or not.

!More info! April 14th is the last day for "Off Season" rental and rental prices are about 1/2 what they would normally be when its "On Season." So give or take $20 for a half day. I am assuming we would be getting the half day rental with our time options running from 8:00am-2:00pm and 3:00pm-10:00pm. So far she said shelter 2 was rented and it wasn't even one I looked at.

I kind of like shelter 4 but up for whatever. Smog, if you have paypal I could send it to you or whoever that will reserve for us. It's been so crazy and I haven't had time to look at this.

Let's take Shelter 7 out of the equation - we don't wanna park on the street. I'm game for any of the others, and I can paypal some money to you, Aaron, if you want to reserve the shelter.

 

Alright either shelter 4 or 12.

- 4 has a huge parking lot, and the shelter is quite large also.

- 12 is same size as 4 and set back further off the road with 20-30 care sized parking lot.

I'd like to book before the weekend. I don't expect the cost to rent be anymore than $25 so if everyone could just bring a few bucks cash, that would probably be easiest. I'm a little hesitant on the PayPal stuff, sorry.

 

! Its Official ! Shelter 12 has been booked for April 14th from 3:00pm-10:00pm. The cost was $30 ($60! if we had waited another weekend) so depending on how many show, everyone just bring a few bucks to cover your half.



Try and bring something food and beverage wise. Anyone have any spare charcoal laying around, otherwise I can go out and get some. The lady I talked to was very animate about "no alcoholic beverages" so if you so choose to have something, I recommend a QT cup to mask the evidence. *Don't forget your cameras.

Oh, who is cooking? My BBQ skills suck.

 

Eh, cooking burgers and brats is no big deal.

So, since we're reserving the 3-10 pm timeframe, what time are we actually meeting there? We originally talked about noonish, but this doesn't fit with the reservation. Suggestions?

 

They had weird options on reserving. I could get from 8am - 1pm or 3pm - 10pm.

I plan on getting there about 2ish to start holding down the parking lot. I'd be up for being "grill master" if no one else has the urge.

 

I really doubt there is going to be a party in there from 8 to 1, so I'm sure if we just make it a late lunch type thing and get there around 2 or so, we'll be fine.

Even though it isn't reserved until 2pm, I have no problems showing early. It seems to me that we are right. It is very unlikely someone has it reserved from 8am to 1pm.

If we get there around noon-ish, and no one is there, using it, I see no reason why we shouldn't set up and use it.

SO this meet definitely got me excited. I just put the clear corners on my car yesterday and the K&N Typhoon and side/rear aero flares are ordered! They probably won't get here before the meet, but at least it got me moving on some of the stuff I wanted to do to the car. :P

I have to thank Chris for letting me "borrow" his K&N intake... definitely sold me on the setup.

What about the rest of you? Anything new in the works?

 

Considering im moving in two months, everything fun is on hold, lol. Maybe I can sneak some stealth bulbs in but no big purchases.

 

got my 8 back from paint with the body kit. might get pics today if i have time.

the only way i can go to the meet is if it is early. i have to be at work in excelsior springs at 330. can't pass up the O.T. if anyone is going to be there around noon, i will be down, but have to leave smp by 215. please promise that we will have another meet soon.

We can show up at noon with the assumption that no one will be there. If someone is there, we'll have to wait till our allotted time to do any cooking, but we can certainly take pictures and hang out in the parking lot until then.

Btw, saw a Ti Grey 8 yesterday in Overland Park and got the light flash... too bad we were at opposite sides of the intersection or I'd have invited him to the meet. I've got some mini-flyers to put on windshields this week, if I happen to catch any 8s parked anywhere.
