Oh, Almost forgot....I have a complete set of Red/Black leather seats in good condition.
The drivers has some slight peeling in the but area but other than that they are good all around and the other 3 don't have any issues. The peeling can be repaired by any leather repair shop (there are even mobile ones that will come to you) for cheap. I have them at my home in Plymouth. PM for detail if you are interested. i dropped my car at the dealer in brooklyn center last night after it shut off on me on the highway which is a whole nother story and i found out today someone smashed my passenger side window and broke in fuck my life

I know this post should probably go in the good guy/ bad guy section, but since this effects people in Minnesota only, I thought I’d post it here.
I had a really bad experience at Walser Mazda in Burnsville, and I feel I should tell you about it because I don’t want what happened to me to happen to you. I own both an RX7 (3rd gen) and an RX8 (2006). I have had bad experiences at Walser with both cars, but in the interest of saving time, I’m just going to tell you about the latest. In May, I bought some beautiful chrome rims from someone on this thread. Two days later, I brought the rims in to Walser to be mounted on my old tires. Before I did this, I video taped each rim. Why did I do this? Because about five years ago, I had an experience at Tires Plus where they scratched my rims on my 3000GT and I had absolutely no proof that they had done it. So now, before I get any work done on my rims, I always video tape them beforehand. Boy, am I glad I did. Guess what happened? One of the mechanics at Walser scratched one of my chrome rims. I’m talking about a foot long circular scratch. I instantly noticed and brought the general manager (Dan Dingmann) out to show him what had happened. To prove that they weren’t scratched beforehand, I showed him the video tape. (The person on this thread that sold them to me can vouch that they weren’t scratched when he sold them to me as well). At first, he was very nice and he said that he “would have his ‘wheel-guy’ contact [me]” I didn’t hear from the general manager for two months. So, last month, I called up the shop manager (Mike McGee) and asked him what the status of my wheel was. He told me that he talked to the general manager and they were not going to replace the rim. Shocked, I asked him why. He said that it seemed like I was “setting them up because I had video taped the rims before I had brought them in.” Dumbfounded, I asked to speak to the general manager again. He said that he wasn’t in but he would have him call me. He never called me. A few days later, I went in and talked to the general manager. Guess what he said? “The rims were scratched before we worked on them. I asked the mechanic.” Even after I had shown him the video proof that they were indeed NOT scratched beforehand, he denied that they had scratched them. I am so disappointed in Walser Mazda. Please do not go there for service. Think of how many people they do this to and then get away with it. They take no responsibility for their mistakes, and then they turn around and blame everything on you. This is not the first time I have received bad service there either. I am thinking of taking them to small claims court. I KNOW I will win because I have video proof. However, I have a four year warranty through Walser because I just bought my RX8 from them in April. Now I fear any time I bring it in (which I don’t want to anymore), they are going to mess with me again somehow. I’m really torn. What should I do? Ryan |

you even have proof and they are being shady. i can only imagine your anger, but i have to laugh at how out of touch with reality they are. if i were them there is no way i could keep a straight face while lying to you AFTER SEEING THE VIDEO EVIDENCE. keep bothering them. sounds like you gave them good money for a car, a warranty, and more recently tire mount / balance. i don't understand how you were "setting them up", rather protecting yourself. had the job been done right the video never would have been brought up. you might file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. i checked and some Walser facilities are BBB acredited, but their Mazda dealership is not, but you can file a complaint with them anyway and it goes up online (easy to do too). i do not know the intricacies of the process, but it seems if your claim is legit the BBB generally "carries a bigger hammer" in righting a wrong than Joe Consumer. Walser Mazda also has zero complaints in the last 36 months. My guess is most general managers would like to keep that number at zero - maybe they don't care. www.bbb.org good luck and thanks for posting your experience! |
hey guys i got some sick parts for sale i got a metra double din kit for $100 a cobb accessport for $300 i got a set of four 5zigen fno1-rc in bronze 235/40/18 with a 30 offset and the rims are 18x85 wrapped in dunlop sp sport fm901 with aboiut 8k miles on it hit me up and get these parts off my hands 612-703-8303

that sucks wolf... personally i always go to morries mazda in minnetonka. i know alot of the staff and they are all mazda fans like us they always do a good job on my car :)

having come from a twin turbo car, I have had to acclimate to the lack of " feel of the pants" when accelerating yet the numbers appear better than what the seat feels, because of the less torque in comparison to the old car, a modified twin turbo Stealth. Hands down, this 2008 Rx8 with Bilstein package out handles any of the big guns. Would there be any advantage in power or in Hwy. mileage by swapping in a drop in K&N air filter? I logged a decent 23 plus mpg at a sustained 3 hr trip at plus 70 mph trip recently..not too bad on a bone stock new car with under 1500 mileage. Expect about 2~3HP gain with the factory catalytic converter and 11~12HP with a midpipe |
