Ohh inventory.. I wanna show off my turn signals.

If anyone wants to have a "work on the car" meet we can do that as well. I can certainly help folks do the turn signal mod if they want.

I'm gone on Sept 2nd.. but otherwise will be around.

I have an e into derwankle about the puddle lights, and I show up for a hand or two to speed up the work.

Keep me posted. I'll be gone from the 8th to the 10th.

Whoops!

Hey Vortex are you a member of the Northstar Rotary Rockets? I think we may have talked a while back about your passenger side foot rest.

It has to be slightly modified is what Todd had said.

I haven't seen one yet.

Ya, I've installed the puddle lights as well... derwankel mentioned to me that I had done the most extensive install of the puddle lights he knew of...

(Basically I pulled the wiring out of the mirrors, un-wrapped them, added the puddle lamp wiring and rewrapped/reassembled it all.)

...and then I soldered the wires into the existing door wiring as necessary...

Normally you just take the puddle lamp wires and run it down the same channel as the existing wires.. you don't remove the existing wires, combine the harness and re-wrap everything.. (Apparently I'm a bit **** about wiring...)

Nothing wrong with being thorough. Besides that ensures there won't be any rattles or squeaks.

Yea, its still set up for RHD cars. My dad and I had to re-drill some holes in the passenger side foot well and I can't recall if we had to retap or not...its been too long. But yea, its not a quick install and I think it took us about 3-4 hours once we figured out what the best plan of attack was. Its held up well.

The wife likes it for the long drives, but still puts he darn feet up on the dash...

good to hear she likes it.

Just tell her the air bags would break her ankles, like if a deer ran in front of the car...

How the heck does she get her feet on the dash?

Does she put them up there before she gets in?

She pimps the seat way back or does some sort of wiggle and next thing I know I got shoe tred marks on the passenger side dash or dirty foot prints up there.

At least she doesn't hand her feet out the windows like women I see...driving or riding shot gun.

I guess its like a dog that's gotta stick its head out the window...don't know why they just do it.

Nice meeting you to D. Btw after you exited a cop had a speed trap about a mile ahead...I was coming up on it at 92mph and it was radar so I was able to slow down ahead of time .

Come see Chris's Turbo this week if you'd like...he lives a mile or two NorthWest of 494 and 55 intersection.
