isn't pep boys open late? in brooklyn center though

Speedrx8er 08-02-2005 01:32 PM

I don't think they sell 3 in tube. I think they only have 2" exhaust tubes

fray 08-02-2005 02:11 PM

A diesel place might have 3" tube.. doubt it would be aluminum though.

Speedrx8er 08-02-2005 03:10 PM

Cool thanks.. :) heheh trying to get it done before Friday. Hate to have to pulll the bumper out again.

Speedrx8er 08-03-2005 12:03 PM

Dang it!!!:( found a please that sell the pipe I wanted. Only 5 mins from my house. But they close at 4:30 :( argggggggggg.

Anyways, after looking at the space I have after pulling the bumper and lowering the intercooler. there are space for Ram air. heheheheh !!!!!!!!!! I"ll probably do a short ram.
Might even be able to use the Airnex for awhile. I"ll take some pic of the space
and possible intake setup.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! running some serious boost to get 291 hehee

Wife said you just help me dig my grave haahahaha

Speedrx8er 08-03-2005 11:05 PM

Arggggggg got the wrong size filter. Its to big :( Now i'll have to order it on line .

Speedrx8er 08-04-2005 12:52 AM

Here is a question for you all:

Do I move the filter out or do I leave it in and box it and run cold air to it.

If I move it then I"ll have to pull the bumper just to clean it and it'll probably get dirty really fast. On the Plust side its cooler then in the box

truemagellen 08-04-2005 12:54 AM

ru thinking no filter? eek

Speedrx8er 08-04-2005 08:06 AM

no no hehehe Filter yes. Just moving it out like SSR did. Or do I keep it where it is now and box it in. Then ram some air in the box.

2nd anual mid-Summer Show & shine this weekend
@ Medina Entertainment Center if anyone is interested

fray 08-04-2005 09:44 AM

I'd keep the filter in the airbox... if you can figure out how to cover/seal the box.. otherwise you may have to figure out another approach. (definatly being able to check/replace the filter sounds like a "good thing" to me.) :D

Just wanted to say Hi. Bought a used RX-8 from Morries, live out in Coon Rapids. Silver sport. So far I'm loving it. Should be down at MRR in a few weeks. See you there.

Speedrx8er 08-06-2005 03:19 PM
