Question

Other than warm cloths, extra pads, break fluid, oil and a helmet. Is there anything else I need to bring?

I'm meeting RedDevil around 8-830 at or around his apt. You might want to send him an email and discuss that with him and get all the times and such set up.

I posted this on another thread but I wanted to get your guys take on it as well.

I have been doing some thread searches on the best winter tires for the 8. So far I see good reviews on the Bridgestone Blizzak tires LM-22(17's), WS-50(17's) and LM-25(18's). Do all you agree? Also I heard that 215 are better than 225. What are your thoughts? The price's I was quated are was as follows: LM-25 $1,320, LM-22 $1,130, WS-50(225) $1,030, WS-50(215) $930.

this is what i came up with searching tire rack for winter tires in the size for the 8's

i dont know if those quotes you got were wheels and tires or what you were planning on doing exactly but just for comparisons sake.... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...ZR&subperf=PPW

i personally use kuhmo all seasons in an upsized sizewall not dedicated snow tires. However here we will get a day or 2 of snow and then it will just be cold and crappy for a week after that before it snows again. And i would absolutely kill snow tires driving on dry pavement that much between snows. But obviously summer tires wont get the job done in the sub-freezing temps or the 2 days of snow we get either.

If you live and work in Madison, I'm sure they clear the snow good and promply. You may get by with all season tires. I live just off a major state highway here so that is what I use (Pirelli PZero Nero M&S). I also bought wider/lower profile tires than stock. This was a mistake. Stay as close to stock as possible, so you can cut through the snow/slush better.

Yea it was for the tires and wheels. I guess I'll go with what the dealership has since they won't charge me shiiping or instalation. I think they said they carry the LM-22
