thanx for the look out lol, yea I wouldnt be surprised if i was the only one with an auto in michigan well atleast after my friends lease just ended on his AT....trust me as much as I love my 8, I really wish it was a MT. Its all good tho.....and to the korean, i wouldnt be surprised if I saw you on the road, i have a daily commute from canton to detroit for school and work so im usually flying down ford rd as well as 96 :-)

Wow I saw a really hot RX7 at the Woodward Dream Cruise. It was Orange with a like a gold metal flake had a huge wing on the back it really was cool looking! Anyone know if he is a local? It could be from out town since so many come here just for the Dream cruise? Oh well!

If it had a Mazdaspeed sticker on the front windshield and a spoiler it was probably me and without it, it would be tdido. When an exact same colored 8 showed up in the same town I had to do something to make mine a little different. But you should have stopped, I love meeting other people who have the joy of driving an 8, they are all happy for some reason.

lol So true. I feel your pain, i'm heading to minneapolis tomorrow for an interview and one of my reasons for possibly not taking the 8 is that there may be long gaps in between gas stations where i may be SOL. So it may be the sebring instead I am afraid.

I don't hang around Munising much anymore, got a job in Ishpeming and cruise those backroads now. Haven't gotten a ticket yet but I'm out of my comfort zone now, don't know any of the police. My nephew asked me how fast the RX8 can go and I told him I don't know, I've only gone 110. My son thinks it can go 190 mph, I told him I wasn't going to find out. The deer put a damper on my fun, I have a real fear of hitting them. Last year hit one in my cougar at 95 mph. The car still ran but the body was pretty messed up. It had to bounce on the hood a couple times and then up on the sunroof. I think I'd cry if I hit one in the mazda, but I have already come close.

 

Thats interesting. Did you find out the hard way? lol.

that's exactly where my car was bought from 4 years ago. I bought it this past June with only 8600 miles on it, so there are sports cars in the U.P. but they're not always driven.

This is a man with good taste. I also have an 04 RX GT and an 08 Cooper S! My Cooper is a Clubman - traded up this summer from an 04 Cooper to get space for the dogs.

 

You aren't driving in my neck of the woods. I almost always see younger men driving RX8s. And BTW, not a one of them has bothered to return my wave or light blink. Who's not seeing other RX8s?

BTW, I'm 51, female, and wouldn't think of owning an AT anything.
