New owner on the KC missouri side. Blue Springs more specifically. I've seen three black rx8s, a titanium, and a blue one but no mention of any owners in b;ue springs or independence on this site. Let me know if there is so I can have someone to meet up with thats not cruising pistons!

Little late to post, but I not only have an RX-8, I'm an authorized forum vendor ! Just got mine in September, a used '04 GT in red. Just has a few things so far that we're trying out (Tokico D-specs, Tein H-techs, MS Sport Exhaust), but more to come. A good friend who works at Cerner has a Titanium Sport with a Greddy exhaust, Konis/H-techs, and Whiteline sways.
And awhile back you may have seen my business partner's silver '04 GT, which had black SSR SP1 wheels, Tein Basics, Whiteline sways, a Borla exhaust, and for a few months a Greddy Turbo. That car has been gone for about a year now though.
I'm out in Shawnee, but sadly do not have a shop at this time. Hopefully that will change one day as we are working on it, but don't hold your collective breath. If you do need parts though, let me know. We can get the majority of parts available for the RX-8 at some pretty decent prices. I'd be happy to meet some of you one day as well; perhaps we should have a KC meet sometime? Maybe next March or so when we can ditch the snow tires. . . .

I bought an 04 Titanium Gray 8 in November. A little late joining the club, but I'm here nonetheless. Any more talk of a spring meet? I'm in Independence. My car is pretty much stock except for the X-Men style spoiler and a Magnaflow catback exhaust, which sounds purrrrty if I do say so myself. =P

I don't know if us other Mazda owners are cool enough to hang out with the 8 crowd, but several of us in other Mz3/Mz6 forums has organized a mini meet tonight around 8:30-9:00 (whenever KU games ends). We're gathering @ the Sonic on 135th and Blackbob in Olathe. Probably headed to Incredibowl afterwards because I like bowling and beer is good.
If anyone is interested, hope to see you out!

Awesome! If you guys wouldn't mind a few extra folks. Keep me in the loop, I do my best to rally the KC Mazda troops together on the Mz3/Mz6 sides of things.
Your target date is April 14th right @ SM Park?

I have a job coming up in 2 weeks, in Columbus. I'm going to see if they let me drive to that one.
Earlier, I did drive to Daytona for the 24hr race. 18 hours non-stop, except for gas. Both ways. I was a wreck after that trip.
I will be flying out tomorrow evening.

Wish we could have met up. It's always nice to meet another 8 owner. Reason I asked if you drove is that I saw a blue 8 with tinted windows coming from Belton on my way home and I rarely see any other 8's on my daily route.

Is there a company in Grandview that you like to handle the detail? If so, please share. I'm in the area once in a while. I wouldn't mind checking the company out.

Yeah, I use Awesome Detail. It's right off Main Street on 2nd. The guy who details my car is named Reno. He handles all the cars for the owners of the company I work for, and I figured if they keep taking their Mercedes, Beamers and Ferraris back to him, he must be good. So I went there just before our last mini-meet at BWW and everyone said he did a good job - particularly on the engine. I was very impressed. Give him a call at 816-591-9669 and tell him Jenny from "Favorite" recommended him. Btw, he's usually very busy, so it may be a week or so before he can get you in, but it's worth the wait.
