I'm getting closer to a perfect-running RX-8. Over the past two months I've swapped out the spark plugs, ignition coils, changed the starter to the upgraded model (they are amazing BTW), installed a Borla cat-back, and two weeks ago installed a K&N intake.
I ordered spark plug wires for it today. They were out of stock when I did the plugs and coils originally so I went through a different company an ordered some NGK's. After plug wires the plan is to get the motor mounts swapped out and install a catch-can to help with preventing oil getting into my intake tube. After that I think I'll flush the cooling system and have new transmission fluid as well as differential fluid. After that this thing won't have a single issue needing addressed. Woot!

If you want to have them done by someone else, go here:

Anything I don't do myself I have them do. Chuong (shop's owner) is a great guy and won't screw you over.

Thanks!
Side-note: I had my transmission fluid swapped out to Redline MT-90. WOW what a difference! It shifts a lot easier and the transmission is quieter. This stuff is great! I also had my rear differential fluid swapped out to Redline 75W90 gear oil. Didn't really notice anything there but I'm not really sure how I would. lol

Someone posted a thread about a silver turbo RX-8 that was purchased from Cable Dahmer in KC on another forum. I read through the thread and was curious if the previous owner was/is a member? The new owner doesn't know anything about it and now im interested in seeing whats up with this 8?
Here's a link to the thread, there's a pic of it too.

Let's try this again.
Who would be up for an RX-8 meet sometime in September? I'm thinking on a Saturday. I'll find a place and all of that jazz again, I'd just prefir that people show up this time.

If you're VERY specific about even the most basic of maintenance like oil changes then go to Rob Sight Lincoln/Mercury just past State Line on 150 Highway in Missouri. The service advisers that work there used to work at Rob Sight Mazda which was one of the best Mazda dealerships in the NATION (but got shut down due to low sales), let alone this area. They'll never let you down.
As far as major service goes, you've got me. Rob Sight Mazda was as good as it got, and I haven't heard many good things about any of the other Mazda dealerships around when it comes to rotaries.

This morning I had my car lowered. The setup is extremely basic (because that's all I need), Tein S-Techs running on stock struts. I'd say it probably lowered the car about an inch or so all around and that's all I really wanted because I don't have any clearance issues and the car rides just like stock.

It's not too easy to see the drop, but in person it's definitely noticeable. I absolutely love it! I'm all about mild changes nowadays and this is about as mild as it gets.

Hey all:
Was wondering: I'm thinking of bolting a Borla catback onto my 04 8, but would like to hear one in person. I live in Lawrence area if you can hook me up with a demo I'd appreciate it.
