Idleing problems

Idleing problems

I am a new guys just joined tonight......but i am going to get to the point .......i need some help.....I just put in a new SR motorsports cold air intake in and ever since i put it in my car has been idleing funny.....ALSO when i am driving and i punch the gas i get some power kicking in through the power band then i can feel kick off ......it is kinda jerky....and i was wondering if anyone knew anything on this ......is it my MAF and is it damaged or is it my ECU that is not reading the change in air flow......IF ANYONE COULD HELP THAT WOULD BE COOL....THANKS GUYS!!!

hey, i hate all this flaming on here, but yea, search for it, but us turbo guys experienced something similar, disruption in the air going to through the maf, thats is about all i know, do the search for more details.

Yes, the SR Motorsports intake has been discussed before, but it has been a while ago. I think, if I remember correctly, that it is the disruption of the air moving past the MAF (as zoomzoom8 said). In the stock system screens are used to correct the flow. This is how I remember it. Do a search to be sure.

THANKS GUYS sry about not searching first i am still learning how to get around the site......and i will doo that before i check with any one else........cuz i know what you mean about talking about the same problem all the time it can get old fast .......and keep in touch with me cuz i am going to be falling into a good chunk of change here soon.......and will have more up grades for my 8.....THANKS AGAIN GUYS....
