Exterior question (does anyone have a patch?)

Looks like a patch on the passenger side of my 8 (behind the door at the bottom, right were the design start going upward in front of back tire). It looks like it's part of the design of the car so I never noticed...until I realized it's only on the one side... has anyone else seen this or knows anything about it??

i think you're talking about the protective clear film. did you buy the car used? maybe someone took off the other side.

yes...or you can peel off the one on the passenger side. but it may leave some adhesive residue. a little bit of bug/tar remover will take it right off.

yea...it is a little thick. if you can heat it up with a blow dryer, it'll make it a bit easier. after you have removed it, get some bug/tar remover and get rid of any adhesive left over. then apply a little bit a wax oh that area.

Why take it off it's doing no harm.

:D ok, well it's entirely up to you. if it doesn't bother you, then don't bother messing with it. me on the other hand, i like everything to be symmetrical (i'm weird). so if one side is different than the other, we have a problem.

glad to help, this is a great forum. don't ever hesitate to ask questions.

OK Glad you said that cuz I have another question on how this posting stuff works... do you always have to get out, refresh, then get back in? I use to email & IM's not discussion threads... just wondering if I'm doing it the hard way...

you could always hit the "new posts" link over on the upper right. other wise, there are little icons under the join date if the user has AIM, Yahoo, MSN...
