Hey Machan, that drive up in Wisconsin might be pretty cool. Would be good to do while the leaves are still turning...

yep, but unfortunately not too many weekends left. This weekend is Zoom Zoom live and pretty soon it will start to snow...

I'm out of the meet this week. Too damn far away.

I guess we'd have to do it before Thanksgiving? I don't have a concept of how much it snows up there or anything like that.

There are also lots of good touristy things to do up in that area. For example, House on the Rock, Taliesmin (Frank Lloyd Wright's Wisconsin home), Cave of the Mounds, Little Norway, etc... New Glaurus is a former Swiss settlement and is a neat little town with Chalet style architecture.

If we want to do a drive, I'd be happy to set one up including laying down some ground rules so that we can do it safely.

On a total unrelated topic, my father drove the Tail of the Dragon last weekend in his 69 Jaguar E type.
We have our first RULE maker! LOL! Just messin. Sounds cool dude!

Did I miss anyone?

Ok so I finally got off my butt and finished sending out the pics to everyone else today. If you did not recieve your pics via email, please let me know, but I'm pretty sure I got everyone this time. And sooner or later I'm gonna send out group shots of all of us together back in september. I just need to make the contact list so everyone will get the same message and pics.

Alrighty, thats all I have. Talk to you peeps later. ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!

Here are some rules for you lifted from another club. I would also add
no revving
no racing
no burnouts

http://www.fallcruise.org/protocol.html

the speed limit thing is a bit harsh, I'd stick with 10 mph above posted speeds. Also no passing without a signal.

It amazes me how many people I see littering especially the people that flick their cigarette butts out the window.

I have a friend who lives near Holy Hill. I've been there a bunch of times. In fact, he was married there. Some cool roads out that way. WI-83 is a good highway that runs from Hwy 16 up to the Slinger/Hartford area. Some nice twisites on there but also too much traffic.

Bong Rec Area used to be a military air field. Named after Maj Bong who flew a P38 Lightning interceptor during WW2 in the Pacific. He was the highest scoring ace during the war and from Wisconsin.

Well, in light of Al's testimony for Major Bong. I believe RSD should make a pilgrimage to the Bong Rec Center to make amends for insinuating or implicating a vaulted war hero in such acts.

Bong Rec Area, these days, is used for RC Airplanes and HI-Power Hobby Rocket (not Estes) meets.
