The event officially starts at 6 - I will be there at 5:15 or 5:30 to help set up. I couldn't tell you what to expect on 88 - I'm rarely on it at that time.

Great event last night!

 

Yeah, beautiful night, great turnout - I think we ended up with 10 RX8's, 2 MS6, 1 MS3, 1 MS Protoge, a Righthand drive turbo FC, and over 30 Miatas/MX5's. I'll post some pictures in a bit.

Nice meeting all of you guys last night, i learned alot and that was what my goal was. I look forward to going to some more events in the future.

Don't think I got to meet you last night - sorry about that! Between my non car club friends being there (they live in Dekalb and decided to meet up with me to say hi) and trying to get some advice on the club stuff from the WCMC people, I didn't get a chance to say hi to all the 8 owners.

Great find for a short cruise route, Al! That one stretch was a lot of fun.

 

Hopefully next time i was the one who drove the White Water Pearl there, i still havnt seen another WWP anywhere around here.

That is because I was one of the first in line and you waited until all the cooked food was gone. For the record, I ate light. I had 2 hamburgers and 3 hot dogs. I didn't win any of the door prizes.

I turned the wrong way down the road outside culvers, went 10 miles in the wrong direction. Than I went 10 miles perpendicular to that road for some reason. I eventually found myself back on boughton and got back to I-55 that way, but the minute I get onto the on-ramp, the weather is like "no I'm sorry, you haven't had enough trouble yet, a ridiculous, torrential thunderstorm has to appear over your head and cause 20mph speeds on the interstate before your allowed to get home"

I'm new to rx8club.com and also a proud new owner of a 04 RX-8.(winning blue) My fiance Cynthia and I decided to check out the Saturday night cruise.

It was nice to see some peeps show up, I believe there were 7 of us total. I loved the twists and turns on that country road thru the preserve!!! way fun!!!

We will be leaving the McDonald's by Fox Valley Mall PROMPTLY at 10:15 Monday the 26th. Anyone not there at 10:15 will be left behind, as we have to get downtown to make our assigned parade lineup location and time. I will be there at 9:30 to get some breakfast if anyone wants to join me. Park in the sears parking lot across the mall loop road - should be plenty of empty space there.

If you look at this map, you will see where you need to go. Basically if you are coming from I88, you take 59 south to the mall. You will make the first right past New York Street into the mall area. You will see the McDonald's on your right as you are making the turn.

By the way, if you are an alternate or just want to ride in the parade in another car, please show up at the meeting location specified above. We can leave your car at the mall and come back and get it after the parade.

Alternates, make sure you show up - I'm sure we will have one or two last minute cancellations, just due to the law of averages. And if not, you can ride in another car.
