I received an email that rx8club.com misses me

I used to come here from time to time; my sis used to have an RX8, but she had to sell it because she totalled her van, and the 8 does not make a very good all year car in rural Wisconsin. So she traded it in on a CX9. Very nice ute.

But we both miss the 8 terribly. I never driven a car that begs more to be pushed to the edge like the 8 (and I drive a CTS-V)

That says a lot for the 8 that you liked driving the 8 better than the CTS-V. Those are supposed to be really good cars. I'm guessing the lighter weight and Mazda suspension tuning (and the rotary, of course), is the difference.

Yea, I wish I had been there for the cruise! I was in NC staring at the Biltmore and "tasting" wine. You'd think after the 8th "taste" they would have figured out that there was no "tasting" going on but just flat out drinking

EVOLV-Chicago are entrants in the Aurora Memorial Day Parade!!!
We will be meeting early to gather all entrants/riders and guests. All spots are currently filled, but alternates are being accepted in case of last minute scheduling changes.

i just got an HPDE email from the Autobarn of Evanston. For me and the noobs, will attending this event void our warranty? It goes down Saturday 5/31 and Sunday 6/1 at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet.

 

You sure that is the one? According to the autobahn calendar, they have it reserved June 21st. The one you are talking about is trackdaze.com.

 

Yes and No, the warranty manual states that racing, off road, towing or other misuse and abuse will void the warranty. An HPDE be defivition is not a race but it can be considered a off road event or even misuse and abuse. With that said don't tell your dealer and you will be OK. Same goes for your insurance Co.
