I will probably be driving out there seperate of Red Devil since we are comming from such different areas.


No idea yet. If we do I need to do it on the cheap. I have plates and my car payment coming up next week so not much free cash until next payday.

 

Not sure if we will do anything after the car show or not. Depends on how we are all feeling i guess. If you want, PM me with your cell and i'll respond with mine. We'll be in the oswego/aurora/naperville area.

 

I've never been to Navy pier, so I think that's were I'm going.

 

Well, we had a good time last night. Mac, Red Devil, and myself were at the show. Had a lot of people show interest in our cars. Although we decided if we go next year, we don't need to show up so early. Got to be a bit long after awhile, and there was plenty of parking available.

Really pissed, Autobahn looked like a lot of fun when I rode along with you Devildog...unfotunately, I'm in Brooklyn that weekend.

 

Not sure what you guys were talking about, but They had an autocross at college of lake county yesterday. I was taking a motorcycle safety course a couple parking lots down so I watched them for a little bit on lunch.

 

What's going on is Mazda is sponsoring a track day at the Autobahn Country Club on June 23 - both North and South track. This is going to be for ONLY Mazda cars.

They are going to have a 1 hour driving school and instructors as well. The cost will be $150, so Mazda is really giving us a great deal.

The Mazda Rep we met on Sat is supposed to be emailing me with details that I'll pass on to RSD to post...

 

Yea I really liked the track and te proximity. however the amount of "events" this weekend made me really glad i wasn't driving. Hopefully the event on the 23rd will be better. I expect the crowd to be a bit more mature that day.

 

wow. that's literally right around the corner from my house and i didn't even know they do autox there.

 

There have been autocrosses held there since back in the day when I used to compete in the 70's & 80's.

$150 is a great deal for an all day affair. Cheaper than what I paid for Sunday

 

I'm sure going to try and make it as well. May not go out on the track but I'd at least like to meet up with you guys and this sounds like a great event.
