The drive from here to florida sucks! We used to do it all the time when I was little to visit my Grandmother in St. Petersburg. Not to mention the potential for speeding tickets.

Yeah, I've decided to drive, too.... To the airport that is. I love to drive, but I hate long drives through areas that I'm not familiar with.

 

just remember, there aren't that many places to park in Downtown Chicago unless the hotels have a lot in which you can park (most do)...otherwise you're looking at an average of $12-$15/day to park at a lot

 

And that's the low end.

 

I think there is a possibility for going to the track, but if we wanted a sure thing(reserve a day) its too late. Maybe go for a Test/Tune half day to just run around on the track?

I've signed up, i'm done with classes on may 20th, so i'll have my car ready!!! my grandpa lives in lockport so if anything goes wrong or what not, i have a place where if anyone doesn't want to stay in a hotel, and parking as they say isn't bad if you don't mind walking. he's cool with about 3-4 others besides myself.

meowloud, most of the time his girlfriend makes breakfast, and we could grill out and stuff for dinner! He's coming to Sioux Falls for Christmas, so i'll check if he'll be in town the end of May, because if he is, i could have 3-4 people stay there with me. It's cheaper than a hotel and it's only a 20 min. drive depending on the speed of traffic to chicago, and most the time people are going around 80-90 anyway, so, it's quicker. That's how it was when i was there for Hot Import Nights in july.

 

Have youse guys decided on a hotel yet? Let me know when youse does so's I can update the website and make reservations. The way this thang is growing, we may need an entire floor!

Looking for something Downtown though, although they will be more expensive. Unless everyone wants to stay out in the suburbs, near the airport or something... but it will take longer/be more expensive to get downtown..
