Seems the brain trust at city hall messed up again. If you were/are issued a ticket by mail for an alleged infraction occurring prior to last Friday, 8/17/07, be aware that it can be challenged on the basis that the City did not comply with its own ordinance and failed to give proper notice. Arguably, you may also have a defense for such tickets issued within the 30 days following the 8/17 announcement.

Damn. I just paid $200 for a ticket I received in the mail a few weeks ago.

 

If the body that creates the law can't follow it, how can they expect the citizens to also?
