Jeff left me a message with the details. Everybody who wants a MM tune needs to tell us what EMS they are using.

Basically here are the costs.

Dyno - $750 for the day. This is the highest price quote I have gotten so it might be cheaper. I plan to find out tomorrow.

MazdaManiac - $650 for plane, lodging, and car rental. If you bought your AP from Jeff the tuning is included. (Its your happy ending as Jeff puts it) If you have an AccessPORT that you bought from someone else, an Interceptor-X, or an eManage Ultimate you will owe your part of the $650 and its $100 extra for the tuning. I have talked to other tuners about their prices and this is super cheap!!!

Charles R. Hill - If you want to buy anything or have anything installed send Charles a PM and you can work that out seperate.


Is everyone cool with this? Should I go ahead and contact the shop to reserve the dyno?

 

i can tell you friday if i can affford for a fidanza flywheel and install.

 

Unfortunately I don't have funds for any other mods. I'm already using some of my track funds for the Tune. Wife put me on a budget

Phish - I understand, but for less than $200 you are probably missing out on the only opportunity you will have to get a custom tune by MM. I would postpone getting the midpipe before I postponed getting the AP and a custom tune.

I am going to contact the shops again tomorrow but since it looks like we will have 10 cars I am going to see if Performance Autowerks will allow us rent the dyno all day on Saturday for $500. If so, we should get as many pulls as we need for each car. If not, we will be probably be going with P&L Motorsports.

Performance Autowerks = $50 each
P&L Motorsports = $75 each

That is based on 10 cars. If more people sign up it will be cheaper. Either way its still a good deal. I paid $80 for 3 pulls to dyno my car last fall.

 

The prices above are for unlimited pulls right? We get the dyno the whole day? Price sounds good for Dyno only, now we need to know how much for MM,

Those #'s look resonable. We are looking b/w $130 and $160 for the MM tune people. I'm in.

 

Yeah, I edited it but the main part was always the same. $650 to get him here and if you bought your AP from him the tuning is free.

I figure if its less than $200-250 to get my car tuned then its worth every penny!!!

If we end up with at least 6 Tune people that's only $109 + dyno fee. Sounds great to me.

Would the OP please update the first post with the meet date and the exact address.
I would like to come to this if Canadians are welcome that is.

From what I can understand the meet is June 7th in Chicago but I'm not sure where.
I'm interested in a MM Tune (I have my AP) and any kind of Magic CRH can work with the nitrous system he installed for me. Say direct port or a timing module etc.

I'm going to be working in the Burn Harbor, Indiana area during that period and I might drive down instead of fly.

 

5 "tune people" was pretty much the minimum in order to get Jeff here. I like to get at least 10 cars on dyno tho.
