For anyone wondering where the hell I've been lately: our greyhound (the unofficial mascot of EVOLV-Chicago) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He had his rear leg amputated and is currently undergoing chemo. He's doing really well! Still faster than I am even with only three legs. Until his amp is completely healed, he needs constant monitoring to prevent licking and reopening the incision. Guess what I've been doing for the past 3 weeks?? It's crazy and I've got cabin fever BIG TIME!

So all you going to the meet tonight ... have a drink for the pup. Just one per person, or he'll be puking all over No one needs a three-legged drunk dog

He'll be back to stealing carz shortly, I'm sure!!

 

I hope the dog gets better. Its a hard thing to go through. Get him a nice bone and he should be happy. have a good one!

A good time was had by all. We had 8 people there. For future reference, after 7:00 they don't allow people under 21 in the restaurant.

 

I thought it was 9:00? Anyway, I had a good time too.

 

Update on my 8 - needed a new starter (covered by my extended warranty - they even covered most of my tow) I put in a new battery, bought new plugs, and now it runs like a charm. Let me say a public big THANK YOU to Nick Ring (aka lilring) who took care of getting the plugs in on Friday with me. Nick is a great guy and saved me some $$ - hopefully I can repay him with a hardwire radar install sometime. Thanks again, Nick.

I think a ribs thing like Famous Dave's would be awesome. Gotta get me some of that memphis style dry-rub.

CPK is a bit more expensive (about $15/person + drink) ut I've never had bad service there. Getting in may be some kind of hassle due to the popularity but wouldn't be too bad on a monday or friday night. Especially monday.
