i go back to detroit every thanksgiving to visit friends and family, if i ever drive my 8 up (and feel like putting the miles...lol) i will def hit you up!!

I'm sorry to hear that. As a kid, my dad was at Marine Corps Armory for 3 years and we all hated it. I have been all over this great country of ours and all I can say is, "What a **** hole!"

But you gotta do what you gotta do! Maybe after a stint there you can go to Hawaii or something.

 

Housing market there ROCKS (for buyers). Am really excited about that. After spending time there a couple years ago, there are a couple areas I fear (pontiac, flint)...but living in waterford area, and commuting to Warren (Army TACOM) won't be bad at all...

Will have to get used to driving on freeways again. (sigh).

Can't wait for the snow!

 

OMG, the snow sucks so bad. We lived on base at Selfridge AFB and my dad drove into Detroit every morning. I remember walking to school in the snow thinking it was like a mile or two and a few months ago I looked at the base on google earth and the walk was maybe two blocks if that

 

OMG the snow is a BIG draw for me (fun to drive in) and my family... :D

we'd miss all the sun we have here, though.

 

Got the word - gonna move...mid-september.
