I have a friend who is attending Homecoming at his alma mater in Columbia, MO in October, and would like to experience the MO roads in the same car he has at home here in CA, a manual RX-8. Since he's only going to be gone 5 days total, he can't drive out and back from CA in his car. We've found Ferraris, Bentleys, and Lamborghinis all for rent in the St. Louis/Columbia area, but he's a long-time, multiple RX-7/RX-8 owner, loyal to Mazda. He has a call in to Mazda HQ to try to find an executive-driven loaner/demonstrator he can rent from a dealer in the area, and I suggested contacting local owners to see if anyone, perhaps a multiple RX-8 owner, can help out with a local "rental." Any ideas on how to make his homecoming perfect in an RX-8 (any year) will be greatly appreciated!
