If we want to include the RX-7's (or future rotarys) we should stick Rotary or RX -- if we want exclusive RX-8 -- then RX-8
Rotary Power
Rotary Rockets of NE
RX Club of NE
No Pistons Nebraska

If I remember way back in the old days (late 80's) I think the national RX-7 club was called the Rotary Club of America and the magazine they published was called Rotary Rocket.

I recently rebuilt my home PC and now I can't find the password to upload the pics through my FTP client -- have a message in to get my password but nobody seems to be working at the ISP this weekend

Wow, you guys got 4 gathered spots on a Friday afternoon? I guess that is a big strip lot.
Cool stuff - lookin good everyone :D
Jeff - I like the eyelids from that pic at least. Looks aggressive. A ride with the JICs would be sweet. You should take the 8 to an autox event or two this spring and rip it up

I had woodhouse do it cause they sent the recall card- my wife had to pick it up due to me being stuck at home with my sick daughters at the time so I will have to ask her what they said, and I will also overlook the receipt thing- I don't know if it was cause I had not drove it- but I went out last night to get milk and it seemed all tuned and ready to rock!!! (you know how these things sometimes just feel like they are in their sweet spot, and then sometimes they don't at all ) well last night it felt great!

There is a procedure to check if you got the "L" reflash. I think you turn the key to on (but don's start the car) and pump the brake pedal at least 20 times in 8 seconds. The oil pressure gauge will sweep from 0 to middle and back if you have the "L" flash. The real instructions are in one of CZ's threads.

as I am pretty busy today (catching up from yesterday) could you save me from the search and could you tell me what the "L" reflash does exactly? I will do this test at lunch

hey thanx buddy!!!!!! sounds interesting- I could definitely use some better gas mileage- especially with this gas HIKE they are predicting! did ya'll get your cars cleaned this weekend??? I am gonna go check my 8 now for the "L"

I got BOTH done. well I did it twice and the oil guage bar did not rise oh well, will have to look into that- need to get my ashtray fixed so will have to ask about it then. I have the other TSB's done except the engine cover grommets- will pry ask about that then. Woodhouse is very great when it comes to traffec into the service dept. I know about the rotary mechanic at stan olsen- but I have been under the impression stan olsen sells WAY to many cars to be serviced in that one service center- and we have bought many cars there- it just always seems lke I am lost in the crowd there- whereas woodhouse is the exact opposite! just my 2 cents

Included in the registration fee is all the drag racing and autocross (yep, cones and timers) you can get in on Saturday. If you want to upgrade your registration for the road course/driving instruction that would be "ala" Laguna Seca.

That thread has a link to a map of the course and description. I hope you can make it, the more RX8's the better.

The road course is very challenging. On the first time out everyone will have an instructor. After that you will be evaluated and broken up into groups by experience levels. If needed an instructor may ride with you again.
It'd be awesome to see some 8's out there. Register soon, space on the road course is limited to the first 45 registered/paid attendees and it is filling up quick!

There are four groups of 15 cars (the instructors get to drive their vehicles in the fourth group). You should expect four 20 minute sessions, two in the morning and two in the afternoon.
We will break for lunch around 12:30. We are hoping to have an exhibition race with some Star Mazda cars while everyone eats lunch. Seminars will also be run throughout the day on Sunday for those not participating in the road course (and for those waiting for their next run group).

btw, http://www.nrscca.com/index.php is the page to the local SCCA chapter which holds lots of information and links to local activities and events, including SCCA Solo/SoloII autocross information and schedules.
I've been to a couple of the Solo II events as a spectator - it's a good time, and an inexpensive way to rip around on a pseudo road course (and compete against others, if you're into the competitive part of it). The two I went to were at Offutt and the parking lot they used was large and in pretty good shape.
I didn't know there was a fuel mapping flash put out by Mazda. Took 'em long enough I'll have to read up on that...

I am booked with a client the weekend of Rotary Revolution Oh well -- have to make some money to pay for more mods
Here is where we need to be playing -- need to organize an RX-8 day at the track Mid America Motorplex
I am also thinking of heading out to Colorado for Omicron's Mountain RX-8 meet and taking some drives through the canyons!

with the track day I am sure we could get a club (need a name hint hint ) rate and also maybe a club rate on lessons as I am sure most local members have not had much track training. I have not in almost 15 years and would not mind some additional lessons
