Pretty nice,

As for me, I'm still trying to get my RB exhaust & RP high flow cat to hang correctly and not leak.

Dang, there are gettin' to be a lot of 8's around these here parts.

So rarely do I see another winning blue, and today one was right next to me at a stoplight. Not to mention I saw 2 other 8s today.

Kinda makes me miss when people actually gawked at the car.

But I guess thats what an interesting exhaust sound, a rediclously shiny zaino job, and a blasting stereo are for.... Aggghhh!!!! Look at me! I need attention!!! lol.

Sheesh, I almost totally got rear ended on friday night.

I was in the far right hand lane on Dodge heading east at about 38th Street stopped at the red light. I was first in line nobody behind me, and only one other car to the left of me going down dodge also. Suddenly this '90s model buick just whizzes by me going at least 40 right over the curb and on the grass embankment/sidewalk to my right, narrowly avoiding a bus bench and light post... right through the red light!

Scared the heck out of me, so after the light turned green I raced up to get the plate # and see what the heck was happening. It was 4 black dudes w/ blue neon in their car, looking kind of drunk/stoned, they were going like 20 mph down dodge from that point on. None of them bothered to look over at me.

Had that guy not taken the curb/sidewalk/grass I would have been in one serious accident.

Hey just noticed our thread hit the 1000 mark.
Staticlag, hope you didn't stain your seats with that near miss on Friday. Honestly be careful with those situations, had a friend that had to duck and dodge for 15 minutes once by doing what you did. Thankfully all is well.

Man Down!

Was driving on I80 just in front of the exit for 84th Street and saw a silver RX8 smashed into the sound barrier.

I hope everyone was okay, it looked like everyone was just standing around waiting for the cops.

Prayers.

The curse of sunlight silver strikes again

The only silver owner I know is RXForFun -- sure do pray it wasn't him. I also was driving down I-80 then -- probably around 9:45 pm and saw the police had someone pulled over -- actually saw the cops with guns drawn pull the guy out of the car (not an 8) and forceably cuff him. This was just east of 84th on the westbound side.

I think I have seen those guys before! They were on 75 headed south from about Blair.

The Omaha RX8 annex needs to have a get together.

Hello all. Just when you thought all the lurkers were driven off....

Still have my FD and watching for any "get togethers". Not alot of 7s around, especially 3rd gens., so I hope I'd still be welcome. Any Loess Hills drives planned in the future?

OUCH -- my 8 took a hard hit yesterday

Going down 144th just south of Blondo -- a U-Haul truck flys by the other direction and out of the back a big piece of wood come flying out and hits my 8. Happened so fast -- if my arm had been out the window or it had been about 6 inches higher it would have gone right into my face. Put a nice dent/crease in my driver's door about 6 inches down. Crap -- my baby has been perfect for 2 years and now she has to go to the hospital for some repairs

That sucks, your car is so nice. At least it didnt damage your intercooler or take off that delicious MS spoiler.

Did u get the dude in the truck to pay for it? First thing I would have done would be to pop a "U" turn and follow the dude.

Man, I hope somethings gonna happen, I need my rotary engine fix. I just ordered RB Oil & AC cooler screens, the Ram Air duct for the revi, and a voodoo shift **** to go with my short shifter. Should all be here this week, joy!

Sorry all, been VERY busy lately.
No, thank GOD, the silver 8 crashed on I-80 was not me.
RxHusker, I am soooo sorry to hear your baby got nailed. Glad to hear that you are okay.
I am going to plead lack of time and ignorance, what recalls are you talking about Hskr8??????

Thanks Hskr8, I had actually heard about the thermal sheeting, but have not heard about a reflash or the front suspension. I do occasionally hear a high tune ping when going over bumbs coming from both front wheels, more predominately on the drivers side of course because of proximity, I think.
Sooooo, have you heard if the reflash is going to get us back to our reported initial 250 hp. :D

I didn't get a recall letter, but I decided to just have it done before this next school semester starts.

Will that read on the rx8? Could I borrow it for an hour or so?

Would I have it if it couldn't read the RX-8 :p

I even have the bluetooth version for wireless connect to my laptop.

You are free to borrow it -- what are you trying to read/analyze/reset?

True!

I'm trying to tell if the dealership really flashed me to the latest flash for their recall action. I'm feeling really skeptical that they did, because the car really doesn't feel different and I don't really feel like idleing my car at high rpms, again,.... just to test if im on the R flash or not.

When I last talked to my service guy, he didn't even acknowledge the existance of "flashes" he just kept talking about how there never was an R flash. So I remain very skeptical that they did the work.

What is a good time for you? All I need is to read my PCM flash version #.

Let me check and see if it actually reads a PCM version # -- I have never looked. This week is pretty bad -- my son has to have some minor surgery on Friday

Thanks! Everything went great -- the new Children's Hospital is incredible.

I should get the dents from the truck incident removed this week and hopefully the Interceptor-X will arrive next week :D
