I am moving from California to Lincoln in July. I'll be bringing my 05 Shinka, so that's one more 8 in Nebraska! I'm really going to miss the curvy roads. Grew up in Nebraska, been in Cali for 4 years and now I'm coming home! Hope to see you guys!

Just another 04 Yellow checking in - Live in WDM, only had my 8 since the end of April 05- loving it so far.

I have only seen three other 8's in the last 2 months- Black, Grey and Yellow - are you the Yellow with Hawkeye plates?

After checking out your profile - you seem to be a Mazda expert - My 8 is stock right now, but I am looking to start adding on ...

 

OK. so this thread has stalled- I just saw another Yellow this morning- had a stock spoiler, strakes, it appeared the rims where stock but had a bright chrome finish, and the front end was stock with chrome bars going across the grill and oil condensor openings - it looked very nice - rX8MAN04 - that your ride? Saw it in WDM near 50th and Westown. *Edit* So after reading your profile...I guess it was you. *Edit*

Pretty much Been very lonely here in the IA/NE thread.

Tomorrow night is the TUNED car show here in Omaha. I wasn't aware of it (looks pretty big -- www.transonic-info.com) but I was taking a little drive this evening and was stopped by an MR2 -- the guy is the sponsor of the show and asked me to consider entering my 8 --- I may if I have time (my 9 year old son's team is playing in the state tourney tomorrow and I am not sure of the times yet).

 

It's been awhile since I have been on. RXhusker, do you know where I can find 93 octane? I had to give up my 8 last week, traded it for a Saab 9-2x Aero. You are probably asking why I would do this, Child #3 is on the way. The best I can find is 91 and 92, don't want to have to worry about detonation with the turbo.

 

Tough to find better than 91 in Omaha unfortunately. You might try a Shell station -- I know there is one by 140th & Maple. I think the Shell Optimax premium is either 92 or 93.
