The spring game was AWESOME! 62,000 fans for a scrimmage -- HUSKER POWER :D Defense looks legit (1st and 2nd teams) and Dailey proved he has some real potenial. Second team O-Line looks TERRIBLE No depth at all. Calling all punters -- open casting call at Memorial stadium.

I saw that too, looks interesting. Unfortunately, I'm working that day. Have fun without me!

I actually got burnt too! I think I was burning before the game even started! I thought physically ross looked really good, and horne was sure looking quite good too! Daily looked somewhat natural throwing most of the time, the whole thing was surreal, but at the same time oh so fun fun fun!

April 29th - May 1st 2005
It is always the last weekend of April.
I think you should be all over the other "club" members to come and get some good pics/vid for you to be ready for next year

Had my calipers painted today by my friends at Visual Perfection. Black with white RX-8 letters (used Polaks stencils). They look awesome :D Highly recommend this simple mod! The black/white combo looks sweet on my Ti 8.

Great day to Zaino in the garage with all the rain outside -- I washed with Dawn and used the claybar last night. Getting ready to put on 4 coats today. If you haven't used claybar before -- do it! Paint is smooth as baby's bottom :D

Put 6 coats of fresh Zaino on today :D
While I was waiting for it to cure I also did the DIY Foglight rewire and the DIY Radar Detector wiring -- very nice mods -- would recommend everyone do the foglight rewire -- nice to be able to turn on the fogs without all the lights.

Hey,
As someone who grew up in South O, I would like to invite the Husker Rotary (RX) Club to join the Chicago, Wisconsin, and Northstar clubs in putting on the fourth annual Midwest Rotary Rally (MRR). Some info on the MRR:
Date: August 21 - 22, 2004
Location: Road America (WI), the best road course in America!
What: The MRR is run by a council of Midwestern clubs and focuses on rotary community and racing. Each of the clubs pitch in to help coordinate the MRR. Some examples of the sorts of activities at the MRR include:
- Racing: last year we watched the Downing 4-rotor LeMans car in the ALMS series, Star Mazda open wheel rotary-powered formula cars, and Mazda Proteges including those from Tri-Point in the World Challenge Touring class. This year the World Challenge GT class will be included this weekend, in which the Pettit Team Infovision 3rd gen ran last year. We are working with those teams to see if they will be contesting these series again this year.
- Technical Sessions: Last year Steve Kan of Gotham Racing did a session on tuning, we went into the Downing 4-rotor pits, visited the Tri-Point pits, we had a corner weighing sesion, a compression testing session (with genuine Mazda rotary engine compression tester), had a session on the Star Mazda display car, and had a 2nd gen Q&A Session.
- Concours / Car Show: Categories for all gens/models, stock and modified
- Prizes and Give-aways: Last year almost $9,000 in prizes and giveaways were passed out. (and I bet you wondered exactly where the sponsorship stuff goes? It goes to our attendees)
- Track Touring: Road America opnes up the track at lunch time so you can drive your car on it. Speeds are supposed to be limited to 80, but in practice as long as no one is doing anything stupid they cut you some slack on the straights and I have hit 100+ and been passed.
We will continue to update the web site as we add this year's Tech Sessions, get updates on who all will be racing this year, and registration info. The web site is:
http://www.rotaryrally.com
Pre-registration is now open, so if you are interested, please pre-register now, as that will help us plan space for the car corral inside the track, make hotel group deal plans, etc. Pre-registering does not commit you to anything, and no money is required. It is merely for head count purposes.
Would the Husker club be interested in joining us in coordinating the MRR?
Cheers,
Steve
(if you get to Chicago, look for the Husker flag on my greystone house - my wife tolerates and actually enjoys both of my obsessions - rotaries and NU football)
