It's not a bad drive, 8 hours or less if you make decent time ... and the event is fun. Road America is an incredible track, and a great venue to take in American LeMans. FYI, the way ALMS is doing races this year, it's literally non-stop action ALL weekend. My last ALMS at Mid-Ohio this year, it was ALMS, Speed GT World Challenge, Star Mazda, ALMS lites, Formula BMW, and Porsche GT3 ... and incredible array of cars and racing action.

If anyone wants to go, Heather and I will probably be driving up Friday morning, a small caravan would make it more fun.

 

Damn, I'm missing all the fun by going out of town this weekend. I need to prepare next time I decide to take a vacation. I'd love the opportunity to hit a weekend of this calibre, let alone one at Road Atlanta. Unfortunately I already have my non-refundable (yes, I'm cheap) plane ticket.

I'm officially a dumbass when I'm tired. I read "Road America", I think "Road Atlanta". I read "Friday morning," I assume THIS Friday morning. Hmm... now the 18th thru 20th sounds much better. I'll have to check on some things and I'll get back to you (hopefully sooner than later).

 

Hey Boosted ... how was the wedding?......I hope you had a good time. As far as driving to WI for the Road America sounds like a good time. However I have to work Saturday the 19th from 7am to 11am. Kind of counts me out.
