I have been on one of the local forums recently.

The group is very friendly and openly accepts anyone to stop by the meet. I don't think there are any other RX-8s in the group, but it would be awesome to have a few from this forum roll in and take up a section.

Here is the meet location:
They have their weekly meet at 8pm every Saturday night. The location is across from the Briarwood Mall off I-94 and State Street. It is in the parking lot next to the Comerica Building / Damon's Restaurant and Wendy's.

Post up if you think you can stop by.

 

I'm 5 mins away from there........will probably stop by if it ain't rainin' cats and dogs.

Maybe us too? We have a family friend wedding to attend in the afternoon, so if we get out early enough we might stop by on our way home. I'll look for other RX8s.

Enjoyed meeting you PhreakdOut. Heard that sleddog_racer was there, too, with his lightening yellow 8. Would have bee good to meet ya. I've only had my 8 for three months, so I'm eager to meet other owners and see what they have done with there cars. Keep us informed if there are other meets locally.
