I would say it was my wife, but she was home last night.

I'll probably be at Fuel tomorrow. Have a couple of minor new mods to the Miata. One of these days we'll bring the 8 again, hard though when the weather is nice as the Miata is too damn much fun!

I've been a fan of the 8 for some time and finally pulled the trigger. I had it on a trip to Columbus the other day and turned off the sat radio just to listen to the engine. Not impressed about gas mileage, but I knew that going in. You have to pay to play and it seems worth it.

I do photography on the side and probably will do some pics of the 8 pretty soon. A couple examples of the Grand Am RX-8's I've taken at Mid Ohio and VIR. I'll hopefully be headed to VIR in May for the GrandAm race. Let me know if anyone else is going.

Nice photos! How close are you to I71 exit 19?

Not too far from 19. About 6 miles. I'm actually closer to the Western Row exit. Right turn onto Western Row and through a lot of hard turns. That is my typical test track road testing cars.

There's some good backroads between Morrow and Lebanon too. Most of them follow the Little Miami River.

I've driven a good portion of the roads east of the city pretty much out to Portsmouth and Chilicothe. Some of the roads up around Lebanon and Morrow are fantastic as well.

I'm in the planning stages of a poker run and car show for charity. It will most likely be in July. I'll keep you guys and girls all posted.

I work at a dealership right off of exit 19. I live in Morrow, so I'm all too familiar with those roads :P We should get together one weekend and do a poker run kinda thing.

the spring rates dont sound too bad but if your going to track it alot it might be time to upgrade. are the sway bars or your endlinks adjustable by chance? that could be alot of fun on a test and tune.

also i know alot of the roads that you guys are talking about. I used to live around the marrow lebanon area and still live kinda close.

Thanks Nathan. I think I'll wait for some pictures where I'm not wearing a coat!

Did some more research, turns out I have the same spring rates front/rear. The Bilsteins have progressive rates which explains the 242/282 I saw. My front bar is adjustable so I'm going to try putting it on the stiffer setting and see what that gets me.

Hey guys, I'm looking into possibly buying a set of wheels this weekend off a guy here in columbus. The wheels are MB Weapons and I'm going to check them out on Sunday. I'm not trying to adversly effect the handling of the car. The sizes of the wheels should be 18X8 5-114.3 +30 offset or 18X9 5-114.3 +38 offset and maybe both. I'll find out on Sunday. How is the fitment going to be on this?

Here's a link to the wheels. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/whe...Selected=43201

Since you're not lowered, fitment will be fine for either size. Lowered, you'll probably to roll the rear fenders with the 8.5's (since their +30) depending on how much negative camber you run. The 9's won't need any work at all. Mine are 18x9 +37. If they're staggered it will probably cause a little push since the fronts will be narrower. It could be dialed out with adjustable sways though. I prefer to run the same width all the way around.

The Weapons are nice looking wheels. If i recall, they're ~22-24 lbs, which puts them close to stock weight but with more width.

What exactly do you mean by a little push?

Understeer. Less traction in the front than the back so your car won't want to turn in when you want it to.
