Side markers for sure are going black. Not sure about Mazda emblems. I don't want to look too sinister.

Giant sucking sounds from under the hood might be pretty good.

I don't know about hearing it, I don't notice the RB intake on the wife's car much. Of course compared to the other cars it doesn't have much noise.

The racing beat doesn't make much noise over stock if any really, but my exhaust would've covered up any real noise difference. The racing beat did have the best HP gains out of all the intakes from what I've read.

Compared to the other aftermarket intakes, yes the RB is quiet, but compared to stock, there is a noticeable difference to where it sounds a bit more mean at WOT. The Ram Duct makes a bit of difference in the sound too.
But you're correct, HP/TQ/Responsiveness, the RB seems to the best option, that and no erratic idle like some intakes cause.

You can fit the S2 ones on an s1 and vice versa, you just have to modify the bracket

So, I plan to get my windows tinted by Spade Kreations up in Cincy next week.
Anyone have experience with their services? Do you recommend someone else over them? They quoted me $150 for all windows and I don't plan to spend much more than that.

Oh and what shade do you guys have? Some people tell me just suck it up and get 5% and just roll down my windows when backing up, which I can do, and I hate it when people are looking/staring/glaring at me through the window at a stop light. But at the same time, I don't want to risk getting in accident because my tint was "too dark". Any one have pictures of different shades for the eight?

Is it dark enough to make it difficult to see through from the outside?

20% as well, you can still see out, but as you can see from the pic, it's not super dark, but people can't see who you are if that's what you mean?

I had Spade do my Camaro a few years ago with 35%. They did a very good job and were the least expensive that I had talked to too.

Mike, I only saw your car when I was leaving! Sorry I didn't find you. I was hiding in the shade down at the other end and I had to get home.

I've seen that Batmobile before. I think it was an one of the Concours a few years back. I was the only 8 there I think.

That's wise. An unintended side effect if you have the auto-dimming homelink mirror, is that the dimming feature makes it too dark at night; best just to turn it off. The challenge for the installer will be the rear window; very difficult to fit and get 100% stuck down without bubbles.

Also, check this out, needs a good cleaning, but not too bad, and supercharged!

I saw you Steve, didn't want to interrupt your conversation with the other guys (my upbringing). I forgot you had somewhere else to go until I saw you hotfooting it across the parking lot. Next time.

Won my class today at autocross, for the first time against someone (previous "wins" were due to being the only car in class). What a rush! The sunburn I also earned kind of sucks, but I'll get over it.

Damn, that's a great price for the supercharged one. Makes me wonder what's wrong with it. You do know if you get one for her you will be competing for mod money?

SC one for under 10K? Why do I think this joint is like Cincy Imports?

Speaking of Cincy Imports, read the reviews. Positive endorsements!

Mike, you should have jumped in the conversation! We were trying not to get sunburned being in the shade. Ned had his S2K CR and Bob has his FD there. Bob just bought a 2010 ABM R3 from a guy in South Dakota and it only has 3300 miles on it. Some old fart (51) had it. LOL. He's driving out this week to trailer it back. I'm guessing Bob and I will be taking that up to MidOhio for the Rolex.

WTH was up with the front end on his S2K? I mean the textured effect of the paint. At first glance I thought it was the whole car, but saw it was only the front fenders and hood.

Here's a vid of my second best run today (YouTube didn't like my best run for some reason): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcVR2...ature=youtu.be

Shout out to James for stopping by.

He rolled on some paint protector stuff so when he's on the track, it doesn't get nicked up. Works better than a bra and it peels right off, he hopes.

You guys got a lot of runs in yesterday. Yeah the setup on that Pettit Supercharged car looks rather interesting. Might, be worth a look if your up that way, Dan? (LOL) I know your trying to get rid of your car (joke). Car looks dirtier under the hood than mine and that's sad, seeing is someone went through all the trouble of throwing that Pettit under the hood. Bob better post pics or it didn't happen! Dad and I will be going up on Saturday for the Emco Gears in a couple weeks for the RX8 swan song, hope the weather is like it has been lately.

It is interesting and not very far from me, but I think I'll pass lol. I'm pretty sure I'm going after an Evo X once the 8 is gone.
