Doesn't it just annoy you when someone wants something for nothing and then acts like it is their right.... I shake my head sometimes. Good Win Racing, nice...
So anyway, I have been away from home the last few weeks for work and have missed getting my daily 8 fix. I did get around to taking my winter tires off finally but managed to snap a pic or two before I did. The stock rims have the Nexen's that came on the 8 when I purchased it and all going to plan I may end up doing a swap around to put the summer tire on the ASA V2's. Thoughts? do the swap or not? I do plan on doing a tire change in about 6-9 months.

Based on what I was told today, I will be getting relieved soon. Probably be getting home on Saturday so won't make it to Fuel until next week (14th). Then you can bet I'll be there with bells on! Ok, maybe not that but with a really cool Miata!!

We'll just put a picture of your Miata from Good-Win in one of the parking spots at Fuel in your absence.
Yeah, the BRZ was there. Looks better in person than in print. Only knock I have on it is the interior looks a little low rent and it really needs bigger tires than the 17" ones on it.

BRZ looks better in person, has good seating position, and all around was better than expected. I still think it's kind of ugly though, just not as bad. If it was $22k, it would be a no brainer. At $27k, it doesn't offer enough performance to go with the looks. The thin 17in low rolling resistance prius tires would have to go. All of the reviews say how tossable and great it is, but i wonder how it will feel with some sticky summers on it.
I personally know the Subaru guy that drove it down. I may or may not be getting a call from him to get out and drive it once he has clearance to do so, and gets the manual mule car that is circulating around. It probably won't be for a few weeks though, but i'll report on it if I get the chance.

Looks like suspension mods and slight body mods (spoilers and the like) are the name of the game. Some new brakes/rotors. Some sport seats. Shift ****. Push start. Water/oil temp gauges. New muffler.
And they decided to go up to 18" rims. Still a little small, IMO... but a step in the right direction.
No telling how much of this will be available over here, though. I imagine some decent turbo kits will come out for it within the first year or two.

I think the FR-S looks better as well.
BRZ may come in an STI version with around 250hp but it'll be N/A <= a rumor article I saw somewhere.
As far as the wheels go, the bigger they are the heavier they get and it'll affect the performance, so 17's and 18's is probably the biggest they'll offer as a factory option.
I mean, the R3's pull off the 19's really well, but they are one of the few that I think do so with 19's.

Yesterday, I was in Santa Marta, where even the dogs try to stay cool, see pic.
You guys know I can't take pics of other womenz.
I Bought some Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus yesterday, don't know if any of you guys use this, but this stuff is supposed to be the best. I'll let you guys know if if it's worth the $40.
C@C on Wednesday Night, that is pretty cool.

A long time ago when I was a cadet I visited both Santa Marta and Buena Ventura (it's on the west coast). Didn't see a lot of either place, but Santa Marta was nice and Buena Ventura was a shithole.

I may be at Fuel Wednesday night. Wife will be up north in Dayton so I need to kill some time. I may go shoot some pics afterwards.

By the way, we need more RX-8s or any Mazdas at Fuel next weekend. There were more S2000s there than Mazdas. Kevin and I were the only ones there with rotary power. Boooooo!
If the weather is good, maybe we can meet there and then go somewhere for lunch afterwards. So cut your grass on Friday night and make it to Fuel next weekend! Maybe I can get my brother to show up in his radical Volvo C70.

I was in Daytona two weeks ago and New Orleans this past weekend or I might've come down to get my bike at least.

I personally like the look of the FR-S and BRZ, I'm going to make a point of test driving them at somepoint. I don't think I could convince myself to buy them new at that price. I still see an Evo or Wrx Sti in my future for now.

Genesis couple has more bang for the buck and handles reasonably well for a coupe that size, and the latest 4 cylinder has 270 HP. Before I bought the 8 I seriously considered the 6 cylinder 3.8 Track. Nice content but rode hard and steering wasn't as linear as the 8. Boatload of torque though. Build quality was so-so. Lots of rattles on three I tested and none had more than 200 miles on them.

Hey, if you're looking for a car with a BFW, talk to Wendy.
