Didn't go to Fuel, weather here was crappy when I got up so took my son to see "Red Tails." Great movie if anyone is interested.

Spent 3.5 hours today removing the old top of the POS '99 VW Cabrio my wife bought. I also got the new top slotted into the rear retainer, I have to wait for tomorrow's warmer temps to finish so the contact cement will work.

Started taking the car apart today. My SSV moves super smooth, so i'm debating taking it out to clean it or not. UIM was clean so i didn't see any reason to take it off. Air pump is out. Just need to order a block-off plate so i can pull the tube from the exhaust manifold. Just need to clean a few things up, get a new battery, plugs, air filter, and put it back together and the engine bay side of things will be done. Need a new header to midpipe gasket and that block plate and exhaust side will be done. The next warm weekend day will be spent pulling my calipers, then cleaning, painting and rebuilding them. Already have my stainless lines to put on, just need to order the rebuild kits and new rotors.

Sounds like you have been busy lately. I need to do a little work to those MS sides I got. One has been damaged and needs fiberglass repair. I will have to buy a kit, but it's just a small piece maybe 1 inch that is pushed in at the top curve. I can give you the rest of the kit once I get one, but that won't be until after I return from Colombia in early April. Gotta clamp down and save a bit for the trip. GLW the rest of the teardown.

Thanks!

bump for a nice exhaust. Just in case anyone is wondering if this would be too loud, it sounds phenomenal with a stock midpipe. Fuz has got it and I think his cat is gutted so his may be a tad louder than what this would be. If anyone is interested in hearing a clip of this with a stock midpipe, here you go. Sounds better than any dual exit pipe IMO.

Yep, I looked very closely at videos just like that before making my purchase. That one does a very good job of emulating the real life sound.

I love my Hi-Power. No other exhaust out there I would buy to replace it.

GLWS Ryan.

Any movement on the car?

I love the sound, but is it just me that hesitates to get a single out exhaust due to our bumpers having opening for a dual?

Doesn't bother me at all

I think it's dumb that we have two tips and only one pipe.

Some people hate, others love it. I don't care if people like it, but i'm a function>form guy.

we could probably make either one fit. The hi-power would be easier since it's only one set of hangers to adjust.

Technically we have for those who have the rear rotor accent.
I've had it installed for the last several months and they are working well with no failures.
Problem is, how we install it causes condensation from time to time and we are afraid of it failing for others.
I have taken the unit and submerged it in water and it worked after wards so I believe it is okay. If come summer, when I have more time from no school, and people are interested I will make how ever many units local interest shows. But we will have to work something out, like a waiver or something to accept the terms that this is a diy project and a manufacturer isn't touching it.

Once things work out I will let you know.

Atm, after my wreck, finding parts for the 8 is more on the priority lol
I need a front bumper bad lol and an exhaust shroud.
Rotaryfreak26 was going to hook me up but I'm not sure where we are with that, he's not on lately lol

It looks decent but dual is much better looking. With one tip, always looks like something is missing..

GO BUCKS!

Our S2 exhaust options are a little more limited with the rear exhaust outlet a little different than the S1. I guess most would fit, but I'm partial to dual pipes. I heard 2 pipes doubles the HP and torque.

Just got my property tax bill from Warren Co. Since the Little Miami bond issue finally passed, my property tax jumped $950 per year. Kids needing an education is overrated.

I hope they don't reappraise my house. Since 2002, my property tax has doubled. Time to move back to California.

There are some options for you guys, but most of them come from Japan $$$$ I would do a custom single with a Burns if I had an S2.

Or just out of Mason. That was a terrible idea.

You live in Mason Atredeus? We thought about moving there when we came back from CA but the property tax was 2X what Hamilton Township was at the time. Now I'm not too sure.

I'm glad we're having a warm winter. At least the gas/electric hasn't been that bad so far. I probably could have kept the summer tires on too.
