Well...I've gone and done it.

I ordered an RX8. I actually ordered it about a month ago, I figured I'd just wait till I was an actual owner to post but I can't hold-out any longer. I've been trolling around these boards for awhile but just barely registered.

I ordered a Velocity Red, Black/Red interior, Naviagtion, Appearence, Rotary Accent, and Spoiler. My baby is supposed to be delivered by mid-april, hopefully sooner though if one shows up in port. I have to keep telling myself just a few more months, just a few more months.

Hey Congrats! I have one quandry; Why are people ordering 8's when I see so many on the lots. Every time I drive by a Mazda dealership there are at least 5-10 8's. Is this just a California issue?

I don't know if you call mine an order because I didn't do any paperwork, but I wanted certain combinations of accessories and colors and all that, and there weren't any on the lot, so I waited.

One or two more days, and it's MINE! :D

I ordered mine for a few reasons. They had a car extremely close to the one I wanted, it was not an exact match though. For $34k I wanted to choose everything. Ordering the car I dealt straight with the GM, no having to deal with salesmen which is more than a pain. My last reason and by far the reason I choose to order is because I knew I would have a 2-3 month wait, that way I won't have to buy another set of snow tires and spend $1500 more

You are correct though, at the dealership I ordered at they still have about 12-15 RX8's on the lot. At other dealerships there are a good 25+

It sure will suck when they finally do start moving these cars and they will be every where and we no longer will be few and far between.

I saw my first one in town the other day and stopped and talked to her. Cute girl but clueless about the car, flooding wise. She really liked by little shiney thingys, referring to my strakes mind you.

Anyways. congrats on the car. Perfect color choice and options

Who's car?

Ahh, that's just ok. Wanna trade????

Wait a minute, we used to have another guy called Matt that 'said' he owned one just like that. But he's not with us any more.

I wish I could say I own it. Unfortunately though I don't. The president of the company I work for has a seperate company that manages all the cars, personal issues, etc...I manage that company. So on one hand I deal with a very rich, very spoiled 58 year old that acts like he's 2...on the other hand I get to drive Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. Yes I have a good job and no, we don't have any positions open

Congratulations on your purchase Matt & welcome to the forum!

Nice timing w/ the 2-3 month wait. I wish I had thought of that.
