Albuquerque?
Just picked up a '04 RX-8 over the last weekend... so far I'm really enjoying it... read a lot on these forums and have learned alot about the do's and don'ts of the rotary.
I was wondering if there is a big following for RX-8's in Albuquerque? I see a few around but not that many.
I'm also wondering where is the best place in town to take it for service, etc. Being that it's a used car, I was going to take it in and have it checked out to make sure it's got the latest programming and make sure it's up to date on any recalls or services, etc. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome txag98 and congratulations on your 8. I've had mine for 2+ years and really enjoy it. University Mazda on Ellison at I-25 is where I go, but not often, I haven't had a need to. I guess that's a god thing. Some folks use the old Rich Mazda, now Garcia Mazda on Lomas. I've never been to that dealer so can't say anything about them. Like any dealer there are those who hate them and those who love them. For the most part University has been okay.
We are planning a drive with other RX8's and hopefully some RX7's on the 25th of March. We will drive south down to San Antonio NM for lunch and then back via 60 and I-40 just because the roads are fun roads for the 8. You should plan on going along. There will be plenty of opportunity to talk with other 8 owners...and if MadDog goes you can see what a turbocharged 8 is like. It really is something to behold. Follow the New Mexico Forum topic for information on the 25th. Hopefully we will see you there.
We will likely leave the ABQ area around 10am....not sure from where, but will post that as we get closer the the 25th.

Thanks... I'll have to see if I can make it on the drive... I'll keep an eye on the other thread to see if anyone posts where the meeting place will be.
