Right now it does not throw a code. However, yesterday the dealer said it was bad, but it does not throw a code. Is PA a sniffer test, or a CEL test? I actually have 2, both keep the car from smelling like crap. Both are high mileage, the nicer one is missing the front media, so it will CEL. But exhaust comes out clean. The other one is rusty, but does not CEL. It is the one the dealer said to replace, but I am not sure why. That help, or useless.

yup, i thought so too, so as you are CAT less, you also experience some blue smoke on startups and when rev high when car is stationary? and does that also mean that my oil control rings are still intact?

Also please if you can, explain briefly about me having little oil seepage on two plugs.. Thanks

so i have a gutted 8. When was CAT was there, i never witnessed any blue smoke. but after gutting the CAT, I see blue smoke from tail pipes( just like in the video) when its cold or when i rev it after warming up ( stationary or moving). wats the logic behind it and is it normal to see smoke after gutting?

Need a good answer as mechanics here are telling me that this is oil ring failure but after videos like these, i think it is due to gutted cat. wats your take on this?
