Ok. So heres what I have been told.

this makes the buttons work. However, they do not light up (but who cares)

if you don't solder then maybe you can make it work, or pick up a soldering iron and sole solder and practice for a while, after all this isn't something where precision is a huge thing.

But, I am not sure how your pc is wired. The 12v power line referenced in there is one that comes directly off the battery. you need to tap that line for power, and then the cigarette or add-a-fuse line for the 1O accessory line. (this simply tells the car, oh hey I am now on, so you can use the battery's power.) and of course, you're ground.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions please let me know. Also, do you have your pc go to a hibernate or shutdown when the car is turned off?
When you do this wiring thing take some pics and tell me how it goes!

Well I've been reading a bunch of posts about it lately. One guy made his own circuit board and such... but that seems like too much work, I'm sure there's a way. I am going to continue looking and asking... I'll let you know.

Okay, so does the open/tilt option work on your housing?

I have found pretty much no info on this. How is this powered? what wires can you use to power this?

Right, just like any other cigarette lighter accessory. I would go the route of add-a-fuse for this. Same result, just no wire to the cig lighter sticking out. Or I would tap the cig lighter power and ground with a few wire taps...
