So I call the dealer I purchased my car to finally get some minor appearance mods that I finally have the $$ for (strakes, rotary accents, exhaust finishers.)

He gives me his quotes, and then I ask if he could meet Trussvilles. He was quiet after I gave him the quote...then told me to "Make sure you check the shipping, I don't know how they're doing that..."

Great work guys...I know you're making it all up by charging me $60 to ship me my strakes :D

Called my dealer today and got the same thing - over $100 each for the front and rear accents. He said HE couldn't buy them for Trussville's price. My parts guy said to check if they are actually Mazda parts. Are they? (I really don't care - everyone's have looked great. I'm hoping some one else will make some cheaper strakes).

 

They are Mazda parts.

My local dealership is the same way - they said they couldn't go under MSRP for some reason.

 

These guys were saying Mazda wouldn't sell to THEM that low. Ya gotta wonder.

 

I'll bet those same guys will tell you they make $5 on each car they sell.

But seriously though, I'll bet Trussville has some serious volume going on, and probably has more leverage because of it. Only thing I can think of.

And yes, they are definitely Mazda parts...my strakes are on backorder waiting for Mazda to deliver.

I agree....Trussville rocks....placed a order last Monday for MP3 player and all weather mats....it came in on the next day!!

I then placed a order today for the Satin Fuel Door, Moonroof Wind Deflector, and Rx-8 Side Appliques....and it is coming in tomorrow!!

They have great pricing...ship promptly and take care of RX-8 owners all over the US!!!

Mazda does not give us any better price. All Mazda dealers get the same price from Mazda. Mazda has a suggested retail price which you can see on my site. We just discount the TRUE list price.

We started this years ago with the Miata and have had a lot of fun doing it.

I noticed the fuel door they sell is different from what Mazda sells from its website. Just made me wonder if all trusville parts are genuine Mazda parts.

What cap are you talking about? We have only two the satin finish and the chrome one. MazdaUSA style. The Japan verison is different.

 

the japan version cost three times more

 

My dealer wanted over $300 for the fender strakes. What a rip off.
