I wasnt meaning power. I know that power is limited right now due to the ignition, however, more installs and demand will net more competition and advancements thus we all gain, and probably move more toward solving these problems. Oh, and the fact that the type 2 is cool looking.

Actually I'm in line for a type 1, but I'm not getting any update anywhere else so I decided to play in the type 2 thread.

Hey shinka how come your sc is black and everyone elses is silver??

Pettitracing.com
Stage II sc = $5500 (ready to ship)

intx $1600 + $5500 = $7100...... hm.... hell of a deal.

Depends on your definition of what 'hell of a deal' is.

Looking at the figures, it's not even remotely in the same ball park as the mazsport kit, yet costs just as much if not more (You have to subtract the built in items the mazsport kit gives you above and beyond the pettit such as the fuel pump, injectors, motor mounts, etc).

The torque numbers alone are as far from even the greddy tq numbers as the pettit sc is from a stock car.

Sorry it does seem unclear now that I re read it. My definition was actually directed at shinka. Because on the pettit thread it seems that she looks down on mazsport referring to a 12k kit and a wait of foreverness.

My arguement back was that 7100 excluding pump, mount, injectors, and a properly complete fuctioning sc kit is actually not "the better deal". sorry to those who thought I was bagging on mazsport and mazsport team.

Also, how come eatme getsa pm but not me?! Damnit I think scott took it the wrong way as well.... =(

We had so many people purchase kits at the same time that it did indeed slow our production down.

So tell me, how long did it take to install your Supercharger? Do you have motor mounts, fuel injectors, a cooler rotary, fuel pump upgrade to take care of that 8 you love so dear?

I dont appreciate your tone, but if you would like to come to Mazsport sometime I could show you a few of the cars.

The Pettit S/C kit states it produces 270whp. This horse power can be obtained safely with the current motor mounts, injectors and fuel pump. When you go for the 400whp that the typeII claims you need those upgrades. The website claims 400whp but is int only 374-376whp that has actually been achieved.

The time to deliver the product I think is the key factor Shinka was eluding to. The fact that there are cars that have been waiting to be completed and it has taken months. Rumors have it that even close to or over a year.

The S/C is a different product by a different company. Your comparing apples to oranges. The Pettit S/C kit that Shinka has, has even been in stalled at SSX in 3hr 45min.

If you want to go to the production numbers. Just compare how many satisfied S/C customers are out there versus Type2 customers.

There are even kits in Germany,England and Russia.

While the injectors can be staged well enough for 270, it's debatable if the stock fuel pump can handle the additional load for any length of time. The pump was one of the first upgrades I went with after going FI. Should it overheat and stop pumping, your engine will be toast. There's a number of people on the forum who needed engine replacements because of the pump failing.

When one is promised their car back in four weeks, and six months later, still no car, it's pretty disappointing.
