Are you willing to post a few more shots of the Type 2?

I am interested in the air flow from the front of the car past the air/water radiator under the bumper.

I assume the water side of this intercooler is not pressurized.

And as you may have guessed by now, you will be hounded until you provide a detailed list of everything in the kit, down to the provided bolts!

I don't know how I missed crawling all over that setup at SS9... someone should have grabbed me by my neck and made me look!

Thanks!

What an eyegasm! That thing is beautiful. Is the I/C tied into the radiator or does it have its own cooler?

Mazsport Turbo Kit Type 2

Overview

The design of this turbo kit positions the turbocharger in a more visually aggressive location which allows the consumer to view his unique system. This kit utilizes a Mazsport designed liquid to air intercooler which keeps charge temperatures very low and consistent, regardless of vehicle speed. The intercooler design of this system does not use traditional charge tubes. The total pressurized area is small and very efficient allowing extremely quick boost response after shifts! The intercooler has a completely separate self contained cooling system incorporating a heat exchanger, pump and reservoir. This allows the addition of ice to super-cool the intake charge well below normal air to air coolers. A 44mm external waste gate with the outlet routed back into the 3 inch stainless steel downpipe is used and the downpipe maintains the standard 3 bolt flange common to the majority of converters and midpipes on the market. The kit also comes complete with our heavy duty motor mount kit to replace the factory components which are common failure points. This kit is an excellent choice for street or track day use where boost response time is critical and low charge temps can be better maintained regardless of vehicle speed.

Wow that deserves a Touchdown

Working on triyng to increase the value of the OZ $$$$$ against the USD currently a near 25 % loss , and get OZ Customs to accept this as a Mazda Truck turbo 21% duty as opposed to 38 % normal Turbo car duty .

Betsy tell Scott to send you on a well deserved holiday to Australia and get one of these kits over to me in your hand luggage . ( no customs duty )

You would have to buy my ticket.....I'm game, LOL. Scott you should send me to Australia!!!! Or, if you had Scott bring it to you, he could tune it as well.....we could bring Interceptors to install and tune and everyone could split the ticket and have a grand ole' time. Fairdinkum?!

Lennon, we can help you sell it. A lot of our customers go that route....dont feel trapped with your Greddy, come to the dark side....

Car parts are really an addiction and you are all sick..... , and so am I

I live on the Goldcoast its the tourist playground for Australians and overseas guest... similar to Hawaii , if you can get Scott to bring the kit over fit and tune it i will provide the workshop ,and accomodation split the ticket , even throw a shrimp on the barbie for you and fill you with our great beer and rum .

I would seriously entertain for Scott to come Dowunder with his kit

Cheers

Damn, can't wait for dyno results. I'm more interested in the SC over the greddy kit, but I wanna see how this turns out. I've always had a thing for bov's heh. Call me immature, but I don't care, heh.

does the rebar behind the front bumper need to be removed in order to fit the intake filter?

I'd call it smart. 350 whp+ > 280 whp.

350 ish Even on CA gas. I wont get mine back to the dyno until after the new year most likely. Money and time both low. Ignition is installed, but I am waiting to do the radiator until I get the clutch/flywheel combo I am eyeing.

The Type 2 Turbo Kit is out of the shop for street tuning. Tampa folks, keep your eyes peeled for Scott in that black 8....

I suspect we will see a dyno session by mid month.
