If it was 95-98 in US standard, I would say you could do 380-390ish, but that is just my best guess. I will have a much better estimate for you when I do my next dyno run. If I cannot get everything together before the holidays, it wont be until early next year.

Sounds good

slavearm 11-09-2006 01:20 PM

probably around 15PSI...

rotaryWizard 11-09-2006 01:31 PM

slavearm, how much psi you running to get 335RWHP/260TQ? on 93?

slavearm 11-09-2006 01:33 PM

Meh... that is on CA 91 (really 89 because it was oxygenated summer gas) at 12PSI and blowing out the spark. I expect around 350 with better ignition and better gas.

I want one. :) Time to start saving. I'm tempted to budget in a road trip all the way across the country to have Mazsport do the install/tune. :)

I have added the Turbo Kit (type 1) to our site. Please go to

http://www.mazsport.net/html/rx8turbo.htm

to view.

We feel this is a great way to spread the word and give you the opportunity to purchase and leave feedback for others to see. There are several other products there for RX8's as well.

Cool, I guess you will be updating the Mazsport website soon?

Mazsport 12-06-2006 09:20 PM

Yes, since we were able to get a few products up on our EBAY store for the holidays... I have been working on it almost every day now. Should see updates going on pretty regularly.

slavearm 12-07-2006 09:36 PM

BTW... that car on the ebay store... [Governator] that's so hot [/Governator]. Looks awesome on the dyno! And what a clean engine bay!

Mspeedpro 01-23-2007 03:05 PM

Have any of these kits been tested at the track? 1/4 mile, 0-60, etc just for a better idea of what 300+hp feels like in an 8

Dude, i know, i been asking that lately. IF all the kit are able to produce HP up to 400, i think the turbo kits should all be the same price.

Red_X8 01-23-2007 04:35 PM

What if they all cost $9,995? Then you would be saying why can't they be cheaper because they don't all have the same parts.

slavearm 01-23-2007 05:16 PM

My car will be at many track events this year, and maybe even in USCC if I can find a driver. I will be keeping everything up to date on my website. Which I will open for public use soon.

I see the website is saying the all the turbo kits now can produce 400+rwhp! This is sweet, I was waiting for when you guys would get to the 400hp mark! Can you please post up a dyno run of the Rx-8 at 400rwhp for me please? Would like to see how it all looks. Thanks

mike1324a 02-01-2007 12:48 AM

Issue with that is that it hasnt happened yet, but it will.

top_gear87 05-23-2007 08:23 PM

<first post> Didn't see it anywhere on the website or this thread.. is this kit emissions legal? I'm in MD if it matters</first post>

slavearm 05-23-2007 09:00 PM

No. But $200 bucks and the right smog check person...

top_gear87 05-23-2007 10:35 PM

oy lol, not quite what I was hoping for. will it trip a CEL or will or just fail the tailpipe test? MD only does ODB for cars after '96.. maybe I'm lucky? Thanks for the info. much apperciated!

dannobre 05-23-2007 11:06 PM

It will likely trip a CEL....system too rich is the most common

BluMonstrRX8 05-23-2007 11:17 PM

Yeah it defintely trips a cel, it will actually flash

Scott is working on a fix for this sometime in the near future with the Int-X

top_gear87 05-23-2007 11:18 PM

[question was answered while I was posting]

good to hear that a fix is in the works. hopefully it'll be available by the time I've saved up the money for the kit :D

dannobre 06-06-2007 11:02 PM

I believe they actually raise the motor a little bit. They are stronger...and don't flex and break with the extra power. They are also smaller...and allow the extra clearance for the turbo

imrtommy 06-11-2007 02:48 PM

I'm actually going to pick up one of these this week. I can't wait. Sorry betsy for the delay I'm still hassling people for my money!
