Interceptor-x killing battery?
When ever i let my 8 sit undriven for a few day (about 5) I will comeback to a dead battery. I do not have the problem when the intx is not installed. Any idea if it is the Intx draining the battery?

I had the same problem. Took several months to find the drain to see if it was something else. Car kept dying and dying and dying.
Finally rewired the interceptor-x to the ignition switch, so now it only receives power when the car is on. It only took a few minutes, and now no more dead batteries.

well technically if ANYONE let it sit forever, it would die.
But yeah, i think connecting the int-x directly to the battery is a bad idea, as is connecting anything directly to the battery. Connecting it to the ignition switch seemed like the most logical place. I wish i had thought of it sooner.

I'm no electical expert but here's my two cents...
The canzoomer and emanage dont have a direct power cord running to the battery. Its been a long time since i had hte emanage, so im not even sure how it was powered.
Anyway, the int-x does. So while it is "OFF" it still has that open loop connection between itself and the battery. Rewiring that power supply by splicing into the ignition switch solved all that tho. Its an extremely easy mod to do as well.
Most people with the Int-X unit would probably never even notice because they drive there cars often. I usually dont drive mine for a week or two on end... so the drain became very noticeable.
