Cool Got my hands on an InterceptorX. Scott/Mantis, help is required!

Hello

I got my hands on an Int-X. I had spoken to Betsy over the phone on several ocassions and she convinced me to try out the Int-x with my kit. I have a local friend that owned two of them(and only one rx8 ) so I decided to get one of them from him.

I already had my setup running with the EMU above the 300whp mark and I wish to now tune with the Int-X. Below is what I have on my kit:

Large top mounted turbo(T-70, boost starts coming it at about 3000rpm and full boost is reached around 4500)
1000cc Secondary injectors, all others are factory.

I dont know if this infor would help but I was wandering if one of you could provide me with some kind of base map for the injector setup I currently have or at least point me in the right direction. I have experience in tuning and have a dyno close to home so it doesnt have to be exact, just something I can start out with so I can tune from there. I dont have any experience with the Int-x but I have worked a little with the LT-10 from Microtech and a lot with different haltechs in the past so I think I'll get the hang of it quickly.

I also wanted to ask the people from Mazsport if there was any way to modify the ignition signal that the Int'x sends to the coils to allow the use of normal aftermarket coils(change the signal to a ground) or if its dictated by the signal from the Rx-8 sensor?. I know the Microtech works with aftermarket coils so I though maybe this would be possible.

Any information will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Chris

The wiring is different between the Turbo and NA versions of the IntX. If you have a NA version..you will need to get it converted

How is it different and why? I though they would be the same. I am not sure, I will find out from my friend if it is a turbo or N/A version. I could have sworn that only the maps changed but the units were the same. Am I wrong?

What does is the "conversion", do I need to send it to Mazsport if it is indeed the N/A version?

Ok, I will figure out which one I have and then I'll send it in if necessary.

I would still like to get a base map from someone for a similar setup so I can start tunning from there.

Thanks for the help

Chris

Hello again. I was actually mistaken, the Int-X I have is the Turbo version, my friend actually wanted to use it for N/A but he then found out about the difference between the two and changed he's mind. I have no idea what map it has so if anyone could reply with some setup information where I can be close to where I need to be I would greatly appreciated. Again, I have 1000cc secondaries. Thanks in advance.

Hey man!

I do have the turbo one, I already found out. I know of all the screen shots(I have the file) what I wanted was a base map that already had larger injectors or at least comments from more experienced INT-X tuners that had replaced the injectors for larger ones but nobody replied. I have been playing around with the system and I have a plan of action so I will just try it out and see. not to worry I'll figure it out...
