I own a 2004 A/T with the original starter N3H2 A. I was looking into buying a used starter but came acorss 2 part numbers N3H2 B , N3Z2. I know the N3Z2 is the newest starter, But is there any difference between the two?

 

I'm not sure regarding the auto versions.

I can no longer supply these through Mazda in the US (The upgraded N3Z1 manual). They are insistent upon selling their reman version.

Inspect vehicle’s starter label to determine starter type. Starter label can be seen under hood on driver’s
side.
- If label indicates “N3H2 A”, replace starter. See workshop manual section 01-19 STARTER REMOVAL /
INSTALLATION. After starter replacement, go to STEP 11 in REPAIR PROCEDURE “A”.
- If label indicates “N3H2 B”, “N3Z2” or later, do not replace starter, go to STEP 11 in REPAIR PROCEDURE
“A”.

I guess the 2 starters are both good

I am not sure if anybody even checks this stuff anymore since its about a year old. Anywho do you still sale the upgraded starters for 04 6mt. I thought i saw one on the site but could i get a price quote for 28314?

 

My ignition is going out what parts do i need? I'd prefer to buy somewhere else besides the dealership. which is most reliable for price?

 

First question to ask you is : are you sure its your ignition that's going out ?

if you are sure, well u can just call Mazmart directly and one of the guys there will give you a price that can beat any dealership

 

Only reason I feel it is because the start up takes a few seconds but only takes one turn. It drops then start, unless thats normal. I listened to a brand new 2011 and it started right away.

 

Do you still get the upgraded starters? If so, could you tell me the price shipped to 07661? Its an '04 manual GT
