Well, thermostat + pump have been in for awhile and I am very pleased.

Under 70 degrees in ambient temps, this combo is rock solid and runs very cool (175 and about 165 oil) under normal driving conditions.

These products work great. Well worth the money to protect your engine for tracking+autocross especially.

See my thread

and a CLOSE UP of the Thermostat itself.

Just came back from your thread. There's alot of guys with decent knowledge on this matter. I'm gonna prepare some questions later for them.

The delay right now is the thermostat. My supplier has slowed up to a trickle in providing them to me so I am ordering 100 from another supplier today. They will be several weeks to arrive.

I wonder if anyone else besides me would be interested in a 180 deg version, keeping the stock operating temperature, but taking advantage of the other features? Or can the present version be modded a little by users to accomplish the same thing?

I'm not sure why you would want that. The temperature we have chosen is just right in that it does not interfere with warm up fuel enrichment time yet starts the process of getting hot water cooled a little earlier thereby delaying operation at risky temperatures (Which can be inevitable with sufficient ambient and loads). We are essentially moving the target temps down, allowing our high flow water pump to do it's job more effectively. When supplemented with adjusted fan control most cars do really well on the street and track. Our products are designed to walk you away from the edge and closer to safe and fun .

Okay, I now have a few more thermostats in stock. The big order is still 2-3 months off but we are getting back up to speed. Thanks for your patience dear friends. You can now order thermostats, pumps or pumps and thermostats.

I live in New Orleans so have not had a problem with heat. Other than my fans coming on after a hard run. Thermo and pump or just the thermo....??

Thanks in advance for the advice.

The pump is just superior so you are moving more heat out to be cooled by the radiator. Our thermostat does a better job of that as it acts as the gatekeeper. Fan control modification is the icing on the cake if you have it. I don't currently sell it but that would allow the fans to switch on a little earlier. This is all about prevention. We do not like the engine running at the targets Mazda set and from 40 years of rotary engine experience our Mr Engman has chosen our targets for longer engine life.

Pump and stat make the most sense

Are there any reports of reduced fuel economy running at 170 deg vs 180 deg?

By 170F, approx 76C cold start enrichment is over, plus you would not want to stay there anyhow. This is the temperature at which it cracks open, beginning the heat transfer to the radiator (No longer completely bypassing). I believe full open is under 200F with the RE-medy.

We were careful not to choose a temperature that would negatively affect air/fuel ratios.

Hello sir, I'm in despret need of a thermostat you sell. I live in laredo texas and tempatures can get as high as 120F . Would the thermostat alone save me or is ki necessary to also buy the water pump? Please let me know.
